Out for hours on a perfect day out with my new dslr it took ages to get far as I kept stopping to try things like this…. bliss! a bird on a barbed wire fence in Lawton OK. This is very near my home… Nikon D80 / May 7, 2009] We have birds making nests in our bbq if we leave the lid down. When I open it, I find bits of trash that they have collected along with the straw and twigs. We should all pay more attention to where our trash is ending up and maybe trying to buy “Naked Products” which are products with a little to no packagins as possible. Buy local and aways recycle! ;)

It was dark. And the smell of death hung heavy in the damp, stagnant air. I knew it wasn’t safe, but the promise and the temptation pulled me forward… deeper and deeper until I was in way too far to turn back. Suddenly she was upon me, the manifestation of my dreams surrounding me in multiple visions of my burning lust… but turned against me with the force of a thousand demons and sinking sharp into my taut skin like steel rivets… There was no escape this time. I am truly captive as she appears again and again to torment my soul. Even if I survive, I know that I will never be released as I am under the curse of the raven. / My spirit to roam free, never more. Never more… But jeeze, what an awesome way to go, yeah? I’ve been playing with this shot for way too long. I’ve done about 8 versions and can’t decide which one, if any, I like best. I like the use of selected colouring on this because of the brown colour of the wire. The background of the old water tank sets up the scene perfectly, along with the Lithgow Valley Mountain range behind it.

This has been floating around my room for absolutely ages now, but ive only just had the time to actually sit down and finish it. It was half coloured in, but because it had been like that for ages it just didnt seem right to colour the rest, so i got out a brush and streaked it with water.
