This is my absolute favorite of all the fledgling shots! As the evening began to descent the two siblings began to wake up more. I risked getting attacked to get this shot! They were both intently moving towards me and doing the whole head bob in circles as they came closer! made for a great shot i had to back off really fast. Truly amazing creatures to watch. I think mom is trying to wean them but not entirely sure. photo taken in the okanagan B.C Canada / “Barred Owls usually lay between two to four eggs, which hatch in 28-33 days. Baby Barred Owls leave the nest at about four weeks old and sit on branches outside their nest. I was photographing the couple and someone walked right in front of me. All the camera saw was his shoes. I thought it kind of told a story. Everything looked like flames and there are these shoes walking by. I took the photo into Photoshop filter gallery and added the grain. Then I adjusted the color balance to bump up the reds and yellows.

1645 views as of 21st November 2009 The tide was slowly receding when I took these shots from Bar Beach in sunny Newcastle NSW, looking south towards Dixon Park and Merewether Beaches. The day before had reported huge seas so I thought it was worth a look and was not disappointed. This shot was taken at about 1 pm with the sun reasonably high above and using my Nikon D80 with the 55-200 mm lens and again the Pacific Ocean was a magnificent blue/green colour. I liked this shot mainly because of the three waves rolling in perfect unison with each other before crashing to the shore. ALSO LOOKS FAB AS A GIFT CARD

While we were waiting for our fish n’ chips to be ready, these were the stools in front of the other food kiosk. Took a little spin — then took a little picture :-) bleached out a touch of color and increased the tonal contrast.

Taken on Micklegate looking through Micklegate Bar in York one Saturday afternoon. This is a “new” arch to allow easy access for the walkers rather than battle through the small arches with the traffic. A wonderful sky developing over Micklegate bar on a late Saturday afternoon in the city of York. Built as part of the city defenses, it is also known as the royal bar, for all the country’s monarchs and royalty use this bar to enter into the city. No bonus points for spotting the ultimate skateboarding dude ;)
