I haven’t got the faintest clue what I mean by this, so here it is up to your little Grey ones…. Click here or on the image to see a big view of the thing
This motive has been on the bubble as a T-shirt for a while, and I’ve had a few requests for posters so here we are. / I don’t know why I didn’t do this from the beginning, but anyway better late than never I guess. It has been my best selling tee ever so far, and it is one of the vector pictures I am the most proud of. / The concept of this design was an idea I had bumping around in my head for a very long time before I jumped in to it and first put it to paper. / It was tossed around for a while together with thousands of ideas and idea snippets, collected throughout my life. / Ideas I take care of in notepads and on paper scraps of different origin and quality that I stuff in to boxes of different orig….a.s.f. Then one day (triggered by a vid I saw on the youtube. It was about how animals in African wild parks are exploited for cash) I had the idea with the blood and that was it…I went straight for the computer and scanned my sketches of the zebra/barcode ideas. Then I brought it all together in Adobe Illustrator for execution (My absolute favourite vector app.). I let the design sit on my computer screen for a couple of days as I did tiny little corrections now and then. / Afterwards I hid it for a few weeks, and then I published it after a few more minor enhancements…..and voila! POS /

Help stop the flood of consumption, BUY A T-Shirt… / It never ends, does it? The original PNG background is dullish, maybe a touch brownish red, with a bright red thumb nail.
Helping to stop the flood of consumerism MKII. / Revised the message and enlarged the barcode, it seems more imposing in this setup, and the message is clear anyway. Have a look at the other version: /

Same thing but for darker shirts.
I just lazily through this together. One day I will have time to do some real artwork. The kind I know I am capable of. For now I will just have fun being lazy.

Don’t let them label you. Label yourself!
Put your thinking caps on …. what have I shot here? It might look like the world’s biggest bar code, but it ain’t! Let’s have some theories from all you sleuths out there …. If you don’t want to read the answer, don’t look any further. Solved after 24 hours by Sazfab who said it was a slippery slide. She’s on a roll now, having solved two of my “Saturday pictorial puzzles” in four weeks! Yes, it’s the bottom of a giant slide called the Euroslide, and the shot was taken at the Moomba fairground in Melbourne’s Alexandra Gardens in 2007. The real clue was the colours reflected in the image – and you can see one of my other Red Bubble shots of the slide at Slippery Slide This shot was actually taken the day after Moomba had closed and a team of workmen were dismantling everything in the Alexandra Gardens. I do not crop, enhance or post-edit my images in any way. Shot with a Pentax K100D, using a Sigma 18-125mm lens. F11, 1/500 sec, ISO 200, focal length 125mm. I downloaded a barcode translator. The code is my name, my date of birth, my phone number and the word uneducated. I don’t expect to sell this. I would much rather people start making their own. Its my little shout against the generic labeling of us all.
