A golden beach near Lahaina glowing in the light of the setting sun as a gnarled Banyan Tree appears to reach for drink in the rising tide.
In Hilo on the big Island of Hawaii just across the street from a hospital is this banyan tree in a grove of very large banyan trees. This was taken with a tripod as it was dark underneath the canopy of leaves.

These beautiful banyan trees stand together, like three sisters, at the water’s edge overlooking Tampa Bay from the south side of St. Petersburg, Florida. The sun was so bright, it nearly eradicated the water beyond the trees, but you can still discern the reflection of the blue sky and white clouds. I am leaving the card option available, even though most of the border will be cut away. I checked the buy/preview, and the trimming though noticeable is not totally horrible. This is an oil painting on canvas and is 121cm x 211cm. I have always been fascinated by these type of trees. These ones are on Magnetic Island. I am exploring the theme “Entangled” and these are perfect. I used to think of them as a playground, with cubbies and secret passage ways. Now they form an entangled mass, with false openings and a never ending barricade. I think this is more psychological than physical.
This giant banyan tree is on the hike to the waterfall near the Seven Pools area.

The banyan tree I saw last evening merged with the ocean appeared in my dream. I started painting in the morning. It was a great journey far, far away from the jungle of concrete, I live in.
