The top of the staircase at this abandoned stately home are not as complete as they once were, the barring from the bannister having been stolen at some point and some of the windows smashed through.

The rich, dark woods tones of this 1800’s staircase caught my eye immediately when entering the oldest schoolhouse in Virginia City, NV. No flash…the inside lighting and open door light streaming in, brought this to life. The blue light is from an adjacent room across the hallway.
