MGMT (previously known as The Management) is an American musical group based in Brooklyn, New York consisting of Ben Goldwasser and Andrew VanWyngarden. Originally with New York-based Cantora Records, they signed on with Columbia Records/Red Ink/Sony in 2006. On October 5, 2007, Spin.com named MGMT “Artist of the Day”. On November 14, 2007 Rolling Stone pegged MGMT as a top 10 “Artist to Watch” in 2008. The band was recently named 9th in the BBC’s Sound of 2008 top 10 poll.

Close up of an African Zebra taken at Buenos Aires Zoo. Probably one of the most interactive and best kept zoos I have ever visited. Animals are looked after quite well, and are being raised in captivity to save them from extinction. The zoo allows a percentage of their profits for conservation of the Argentinian wildlife. While I’m not sure I agree with animals being caged for any reason, it is nice to know that this zoo is here for many reasons, including conservation. Cropped original image and increased the contrast and brightness slightly. Many thanks to Shelly Heibert for creative help with the title for this one! Featured Colour and Light 20/09/09 ~ The mountains that lay dormant for so very long, / Until caressed by the waters rushing through them, / Awakened to new life that sweetly flows within. ~ ♥ Clive 09 Kalymna Falls ,Moyston near the Mitchell Plateau, this Falls sits in an area that was burnt out in the 2006 Bushfires in The Grampians National Park it makes a lovely contrast to the still charred surrounds , it really was shining its light this particular day,not much of a pic due to the challenging light situation, the positioning of the sun and the shady spots gave a very uneven shot, but it did show us this beautiful rainbow banding the falls giving it the appearance of holding the water against the rock / Canon 450d / Shutter 1/10s / F/20 / ISO 100 / Exp Bias -2 / FL 24mm / CP / Light Diffusing filters used This is an ‘AS IS’ shot

FEATURED NOV 2009 PETS ARE US / FEATURED NOV 2009 CATS AND DOGS / FEATURED NOV 2009 THE WORLD AS WE SEE IT OR AS WE MISSED IT Nikon D70s;Sigma 50-500mm lens; f/10;1`/3200sec;320mm focal length; PSE Weekend’s coming and one-man-band-on-the-run Taka can already taste it. Here he is enjoying Melbourne’s warm recent heatwave(ended 30 minutes ago), and cool beaches today. Freedom!!!! When I first joined Bubble in August, one of my goals was to learn how to shoot Taka in full action, because this is him at his most impressive. He is phenomenal on his feet, and has very strong hindquarters, and an incredibly dynamic spring to his take off- just like a champion sprinter. Even being hit by a car last month and thrown through the air about ten meters hasn’t put a dint in this Toro of ours. For people who don’t know Rotties, they can be the most amazingly affectionate and intelligent beings- just a pity that not all owners are up to taking the responsibility to really handle this demanding breed, and this has led to them often being treated with fear rather than respect. We have always had Rotties, and when we get too old to handle them, we have decided we will then be Staffie people. But for now- we’re lovin’ Our Taka! Here he is as a little Taka… /
