About This Graphic / The latest Rock Group living at my place is “Benny and the Spoonlickers”. My friends in CA and I have often jokingly made up rock group names for the antics of our (mostly my) animals. It’s time to bring some of these wacky ideas into reality. Just about everything living at my place – except for me and the chooks – is a survivor – dumped, homed from the SPCA or ‘free to a good home’ These 3 are my minders. / Benny was the runt of a farm litter, half his proper size and abused at 8 weeks, on his way to the SPCA just days before Christmas. It doesn’t take much imagination to guess what would have happened to him. Well, he’s anything but a runt now. He’s a part Black Lab, part Ridgeback, part NZ working dog (huntaway), He has a voice that scares the you-know-what out of nice ladies walking their nice doggies when I leave him in charge of the ute, but he wouldn’t hurt a fly. I’m not so sure about Douggie and Sailor. They are Staffy Terrier cross brothers and were flown up to me by the SPCA in Wellington who had 50 pups on their hands in May of this year. At 9 months these two have the air of being potential trouble. Which is exactly what they are here for. Vector graphic created with the pen tool in Fireworks. For the rest of the Series see: / #2 : Crumble and the Grumblers / #3 : Flynn and the Bin Raiders / #4 : Momma Kitty and the Hissyfitters Below are their photos. The shot of Douggie and Sailor was taken the day after they got here from Wellington::
