The mantis finally hatched. I wasn’t home when it happened, but there were hundreds crawling around on my ceiling. I used a bamboo skewer to collect them. I use these bugs to protect my pumpkins from bugs instead of insecticides. Next time I will use a butterfly container made of mesh. Took my three hours to get them all outside… and still found some more the next day crawling around on plants, chairs, ceiling, on the lamp shade… all in a pose to catch a bug. I drew the sketch of this Tee about 2 months ago but i never actually got down and vectorised it till now. As you can probably see the design is influenced by Japan. I actually got the idea for this from TBO’s Japanfluence group here on redbubble. So big up too you TBO!!!

Princess Ise / SHORT as the joints of bamboo reeds / That grow beside the sea / On pebble beach at Naniwa, / I hope the time may be, / When thou ’rt away from me.
