Framed in blue-hued clouds on a balmy summer evening, the moon glows hauntingly from a moving vantage point. As the fireflies sparkled and danced across the meadows and the nightbirds sang for love, the mystical light of the moon created a romantic backdrop. Taken on 07-06-2009, no afterwork. Straight from the camera. LavenderMoon~
A detail shot of a series of arcitectural images done for a client. Old vintage props and furniture with long, free flowing lace curtains created an etherial scene, typical of a hot afternoon in the South.
We had an unseasonably warm Christmas Eve 2008 in Southern Pennsylvania. It was hovering around 50 degrees… very unusual for a late December night. This photo was taken at about 1:00 am, a few passing clouds and many sky diamonds dotting the horizon. LavenderMoon~

This picture is relatively old, and done in inspiration to the poem ‘The Face on the Bar-room Floor”. (Note, I did not write this poem in any way). It was inspired by my great grandfather, who recited the poem so many times I was able to memorize it. Enjoy!

Can you have a favourite tree? Well I’ve got one anyway. Yet again, here is “The Makings Of A Great Tabletop” , beautifully reflected in the waters of the Mighty Darling River on a balmy autumn/fall evening. Just love that tree.

See extra large view here River Tamar Estuary, Georgetown, Tasmania on a calm summer day with drought leaving the waters crystal clear. European explorers first visited George Town in 1798 when George Bass and Matthew Flinders discovered and partially explored northern Tasmania’s Tamar River in their sloop, the Norfolk. However, Australia’s third and northern Tasmania’s first European settlement was not established until 1804, when Lt. Colonel William Paterson landed at Outer Cove on the H.M.S. Buffalo. The settlement was renamed George Town in 1811 by Governor Macquarie who had plans for its use as the northern administrative capital. The first map of the town was produced in 1813, showing streets in the town centre with the same names as those used today. Canon 350D 18-55 IS
