This was for a contest on DeviantArt where you take a lyric from your favorite song and do a story around it. I chose Don’t Know Why by McFLY, which was about the guitarist’s father walking out on their family after he had an affair. Mine was just about another broken dream. I wanted to be a ballerina when I was little and sometimes I still flit around the house, but it won’t ever come true. By the way, I’m not an alcoholic like Laney is. My dream didn’t come true, because I weigh too much to get on my tiptoes, haha.

This little flower girl was dancing in her own little world and I wanted to capture the movement – the backdrop is not ideal, perhaps next time I should have a shorter depth of field to blur out the background more.
