  • 10×14 watercolor enhanced colored pencil. The original is available. Please contact me for further information. / Double portrait of the American Bald Eagle. Although called a bird of prey, the eagle is an oportunistic hunter and not above eating carion. Doesn’t set well with the image, does it. / I call myself a wildlife artist but I won’t do “fins”.. fur and feathers are fine.. just can’t get into fish. Completed 2007

  • A captive Bald Eagle from Bald Eagle Days in Rock Island, IL. The Eagle was from a bird center in St. Louis, MO. “A believer is a bird in a cage, a freethinker is an eagle parting the clouds with tireless wing”Robert Green Ingersoll Quote —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-— Picture / Make: SONY / Model: DSC-H2 / Date Picture Taken: Jan 12, 2008, 2:44:01 PM / —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—— / All photographs and artworks in this portfolio are copyrighted and owned by the artist, Cassie Peters. • After photographing a family of bald eagles with three young ones, for five months from day light to dark, it started to pay off. They started flying and what amazing shots I got. This photo made my day only had three minutes to compose the shot. Can`t wait to show more.

  • Alaskan Bald Eagle.

  • The American Bald Eagle is by far the most symbolized bird of prey that has ever existed, thus my objective was to simply take a photo to which would accurately depict the defining characteristics as to why this is so. Although it took many, many shots, I believe I successfully captured what I was trying to convey: strength, vision and nobility of what is the American spirit. – Dennis

  • YESTERDAY WAS A CHANCE OF A LIFETIME TO CAPTURE TWO BALD EAGLES WITH THE MOST AWSOME SKY IN THE BACKGROUND. MAY NEVER EVER GET A CHANCE IN A LIFETIME TO DO IT AGAIN. i WAS SO EXCITED I JUST HAD TO SHARE WITH EVERYONE.

  • AFTER MANY HOURS OF WAITING MY EAGLES MADE MY DAY, IT WAS THE FIRST TIME I EVER SAW ANY EAGLES GO THROUGH THEIR MATING RITUAL. THEY GOT ALL EXCITED NECKING THEN MADE LOVE QUICK AS A RABBIT. I MANAGED TO GET ALL THE ACTION BUT IT WAS PARTLY OBSTRUCTED BY A TREE LIMB. LOOKS LIKE IT WON`T BE LONG NOW EGGS ARE ON THEIR WAY. TOMORROW IS ANOTHER DAY.

  • Went to go spend the day with Storm, Hank and Shaya today….and as luck would have it… / Hank decided to go for a bath….Oh my gosh…was I lucky or what??? / The white you are seeing in Hank’s eyes is something called a nictitating membrane. This eyelid is transparent, and sweeps across the eye from side to side. It grows in the inner corner of the eye, right next to the tear duct. This is a protection against getting any water, blood, etc in the eye…So all my bath pictures have Hank with his nictitating membrane. Nothing is wrong with his eyes at all…

  • A wild Bald Eagle.

  • My friends tease me about having a stuffed eagle that i take out and pose in different place, but in all truth my eagles are ALL wild free birds, i’m just blessed to live in a place where they are abundant.

  • This eagle strolled right up to us on the dock, i think it was hoping for a hand out.

  • I never get tired of watching these beautiful eagles, they are so graceful and symbolize beauty and freedom.
