  • I found it quite amusing that in Italy, as a male, you can unashamedly turn your head toward an attractive woman – without question, in fact I think you are encouraged – this is a simple social comment on the comings and goings of everyday life.

  • I love the feel of this Frangipani shot. Different, unusual, talking point. What photography, art should be. Paul red bubble Lyman Frank Baum fine art photography / macro photography

  • Can we let go of it???

  • Sometimes things become more in focus and real than you can ever imagine. I cannot judge. It is simultaneously both beneath me, and beyond my jurisdiction as just human. This Man crossed my path and made me feel that I was too warm, comfortable and had no right to be anything but myself. Then the power of this Man, descended upon me like the house from Oz . Crossing his path made me think and feel. And that is what makes passion. Feeling what is inside of yourself, and acting upon it.

  • It was just a few days ago that I read this Baggage writing by fellow artist butchart. / Coming from the movies arena, I found a lot of amazing images in this poem that immediately jumped to my eyes_ and to my mind. / I don´t think it´s possible to recreate all the universe(s) reflected in this writing in just a single image. / So it´s just a vision, a single vision of one of the most visceral and unmasked poems I´ve read in the past days. / Thanks, butchart, for allowing me this intrusion into your worlds. Baggage / Author: butchart it was never just / you and me / adrift / all those ghosts / lashed to the bedposts / drowning in empathy / the chrysalis was shattered / before it could take wing / all those pretty pieces / scattered / in the haze / flesh in the silk of a spider / strung in sepia coloured days / living on tea and nightmares / toxicity was king / dancing the grand illusion / of what tomorrow would bring / camelot has ended / in the middle of it’s song / nothing was right / nobody was wrong / we are what we carry / once embraced hard to lose / bridges burned / lessons learned / take care in what you choose

  • A homeless person I saw while driving, not the best image but it is real life.. can barely make out the foot and knee on the right side of the baggage’s. taken in Northern California / canon 50D w/28-135mm ALL Proceeds from this image and any other homeless image, will go to help the homeless. weather I give to an individual on the street or make donations to a shelter and so on, whenever God tells me. there are and will be many more people homeless in America to come. It is time we help our own. I have always given to people in need one way or another. Now I am hoping to help even more with the support of others.. even if you don’t buy any of these. I hope people will find it in their hearts to help their fellow men, women and children in our tough times. your reward will be even greater in the end, even just buying someone a lunch is a great feeling. I try not to judge, only help. even if its just a conversation, letting someone know you care can be a life changing event.

  • 11:30pm, Kailua-Kona Airport, baggage handling area – not real impressive as airports go; but very Hawaiian. Not complainin’. Nikon D40X, f/13, 13s, ISO 100, 18-55mm@24.0mm

  • This is a pencil sketch that was digitally colored. Baggage has somehow become a way of life. It is as if everything I see, touch and hear is tainted by this baggage. It’s as if my hands are tied and my mind is bound in another place and time while my body moves about the daily grind of work, house, garden, caretaker and overseer. I marvel at how much the mind can juggle and still manage to accomplish tasks. I’m even more amazed how that same mind can help make a difference in the lives of others who are not privy to its inner burdens. fma
