  • A single flower held up to the light and photographed with IR film. Dark and moody backyard beauty. The joy of the mundane and the tyranny of what’s acceptable as beauty.

  • Shot taken of one 12 foot tree in my backyard.

  • All of these icicle pix were taken last week in my backyard here in CT. ,after an ice storm. / The icicles formed on 3 large azalia bushes. I took a LOT of pix and was amazed at the colors and shapes I was able to capture. I usually don’t like to post so many pix of the same subject, but I can’t help myself in this case- they are just ALL so different.! / I apologize if it’s getting a little too repetitious, but just when I promise myself I won’t post any more, I come across another nice capture. Thanks for your understanding !!!!

  • Squirrels are quite wary and easily spooked. This one approached cautiously and then when he sensed my presence, he looked straight in my direction and took off like a bullet. His sideways glance reminds me of a prisoner’s mug shot.

  • An enhanced version of Belle,at now 18 months old. / Taken with Nikon D80 with nikkor 18-135mm. Belle is the Daughter of Mollie and Oscar , and we just had to keep her as you can see why. Now ‘ve got 3 that greet me whenever i’m away for the day, its the best thing !

  • On mornings like this I just want to stay home from work to take pictures! On 9/21/09 I saw a pink glow coming in the kitchen door and realized it was the sunrise. What a beautiful summer ending. Since I live in the heart of the Appalachian Mountains, my only scenery is silhouettes of treetops! Taken at 6:21 a.m. looking across my backyard, Clarks Valley, PA. Natural color and light. Canon EOS DIGITAL REBEL XSi / F stop: F/4.5 Exposure: 3/10 sec. Focal length: 35.0 mm / Flash: flash did not fire, Shutter speed (Tv): 1.6
