He kept dunking his self under the water then he would splash!!!
I liked this image of my little girl as, to me it’s a simple and dreamy capture of childhood where it’s always happy, uncomplicated with bright colours, fluffy white clouds and sparkly light.

In my experience balance between these forces keeps all in the picture

An acrylic on Canvas of Jennifer, my Daughter Having worked on a few with some students in my School this year, I decided it was time to try a painting for myself. So, upon reflection this is the first painting that I have done. Thanks to Martin Kirkwood for hosting on Painters in Modern Times www.pimt.co.uk
Even at two years old, Lucy knows how to go for the kill. Of course, it doesn’t look like her little brother minds too much either. In a few years, we’re going to have to start keeping an eye on these two. At least we know they love each other.
Do you know that it takes a month to repair a broken dryer? Ella eats five times a day, and plays in sand twice a day. Oh, I so wish we had a backyard…
“THE STORY OF DESTINY She was separated from her Mother who had escaped into the frigid waters, during the terrifying confusion of the seal hunt. Meanwhile the Baby floated away alone, on a tiny raft of pack ice. She drifted throughout the night, desperately calling for her Mother. Morning came and found her miles from where the humans had caused such panic the day before. After many hours of lonely despair, the two loving Harp Seals found each other; finally safe from the reach of the fishermen! Reunited again, the Mother in her gratitude, named her miracle child “Destiny”. ~ Skye Ryan-Evans © ~ This beautiful image and story was created to protest the annual seal hunt and to raise awareness of the beauty and gentleness of our precious Harp Seals. Not only are they endangered by rising ocean temperatures, but they also suffer huge losses at the hands of seal hunters every year. It’s time such barbaric activities were stopped immediately. 25% of all sales benefit the great harpseals.org. Thank you for caring about endangered wildlife.

This was Trinity’s very first time in time out. And no I didn’t tell her she had to put her nose to the wall she did that all on her own, I swear! She looked sooooo pathetic! It was the longest 2 minutes of her life! LOL FEATURED in the group All Out Emotion /
Well the idea is to go IN the toilet, right? Ha! Poor kid! She falls in & I run for my camera first, then get her out. How rude! Really funny, but rude! Therapy here she comes!!!! Nah ~ she’d do the same thing if the opportunity should arise. She is my daughter, ya know? ha ha ha FEATURED in the group Special Moments / WINNER of the That’s just too funny! challenge in the Good News Group – Sharing & Caring
This one I just happened to stumble upon just the other day. It was taken just about 3 years ago. Yes this is Trinity! She’s changed a little bit since then but she’s still as cute as ever! She really didn’t fuss much at all so I didn’t realize how tired she was until i looked over & saw her like this! Totally passed out!!!! Naturally I had to run for the camera first & then I put her in her crib. And she never woke up during any of it! Featured in Children the Power of Raw Emotion – August 09 – Thank you!! Featured in All About Hearts – July 09 – A very big thank you to the hosts! Featured in Canon DSLR – June 09 – thank you so much!! Featured in The Woman Photographer – June 09 – thank you very much to the hosts! This portrait of Mila (2) was taken in the back garden. Her older sister, Perrin, ran around behind her holding a black cloth to act as a ‘backdrop’ for me. In true 2 year old style, she decided today was the day that she would NOT smile, and as for looking at the camera… you can forget it. Keeping still was also not an option. So this is the end result of a frustrating shoot, but maybe the more interesting for it. Canon 400D, natural light, pp in photoshop CS2.
All of my children have had (or still have) curly hair, I cannot count the number of knots I’ve unknotted… Mila’s are especially bad as she winds her curls around her fingers until they’re completely entangled, sometimes trapping her fingers in the process. I love the quietness on her face in this portrait, and her eye lashes against her cheeks.
