Delightful baby welcomes home her parents. Taken in 1996 in Greystones Wicklow. I was taking portrait shots of the baby, she´s my cousins, through the kitchen back door window when the baby just latched herself onto the glass by her tongue and almost magnetically began to rise up the window frame. A juvenile male Elephant Seal is looking backwards at the photographer (me) Image was taken at San Semion California. This young male was a part of a group that had at least 500 Elephant Seals. The pacific coast is home for this wonderful mammals and San Semion has several locations where they are protected. This was taken away from the tourist location, and on a streach of the beach where no people can go. distance was about 5 feet away from the animal. 50% of all proceeds from the sale of this image will be donated to the Marine Conservation Organization Consider my other images of Elephant Seals /

this was part of a little test I gave myself this weekend. I gave myself 5 minutes to sketch out whatever popped in my head , beginning to end 5 minutes , and however it came out was what I was running with …. then 10 minutes cleaning up on the comp , thats the reason for the simplicity of the design :)

The melting of the polar ice caps made for an easy win for the Walrus Kingdom against the dreaded Polar Bears. Now that his enemies (and also the 95% of the entire human/ land animal population) had drowned, the Walrus King now had time for more pleasurable activities… like dating. He sailed the oceans for weeks on end, trying to find somebody interesting to talk to. It wasn’t until he came across a small island (which was actually the top of a huge trash dump that was now submerged) that he finally found any sign of life. On the island was a crocodile named Margaret, happily chowing down on the last humans that had managed to survive the flood. “Wow, what a nice smile she has! Can’t say she’s got great taste in food, but otherwise she seems normal enough…” So the Walrus King paddled up to Margaret, and said to her the words that he hoped would work better than they had with his ex-wife: “Hey baby! My attraction to you is like diarrhea – I just can’t hold it in!”

... well Funny Duckling is how my husband described these critters that were waddling round the campsite in Tournai, Belgium. Actually its a Crested Call Duckling, unless I am mistaken. A lucky opportunistic shot of this cutie!
