Meet Mo. He is a little squirrel who loves the quiet of the darkness. He loves making wishes and shooting them into the sky towards the twinkling stars! Will his wishes all come true? This is a print of an original illustration that I did with ink and digitally colored. Mo and Teeny are two little squirrels that live in my head….they had to come out eventually! yup i know I haven’t uploaded anything “serious” for a while, so here comes a new work in progress. have to do some minor change before the final version, but so far I’m quite satisfied with what I got (or should I be worried about its being too “orange”?!). comments are much appreciated. ;) Update: / / Finally i set up a shop to sell my own prints! in my shop you can get signed, limited edition of prints, by limited I mean, well, really limited! :)

Out of the 12 women I know only 2 / felt relieved, small number, makes you wonder. / Planned parenting was created by a KKK supporter / for “race purification” – research guys, research. I do not completely agree with abortion. My concern is / more for the woman than the actual fetus. These / “side effects” are critical in at least 1/2 the cases. / Abortion should be approved in a case by case scenario. / If you disagree and choose to comment do so rationally / and in a respectful manner. I am tired of seeing men throw / a hissy fit over anti-abortion supporters, seriously guys? Adoption , it should be considered. What also / should be considered are the cases in which / abortion should be allowed such as rape or incest. / It should not be that easy to take a human life legally. / Abortion is not a means of birth control so stop using tax dollars to fund it and claim that it’s a “personal choice”... / Research has proven that a fetus can move away / from poisons injected into the uterus as early as / 6 weeks from conception. i thought i’d try some layering in photoshop. i’ve never done this before, and i did not take the picture of the model, or the checkered floor with textured wall.. all the images are off of deviant art. this kind of art i tried was inspired by myoriginalsin [check out her work its incredible!] i’m not nearly as good as her but i wanted to see if i could do it. i hope you guys like this. it took well over an hour to get it right. what i did was / 1. i searched the stock on deviant art for the background, the model, and the hearts. 2. i dragged the photo of the model over to the background picture and erased all the access background from the picture of the model [the forest area she was originally in] 3. i dragged the heart over and turned it to “sketch” so it looked like a pencil drawing. i wanted it to be transparent 4. i merged it all together 5. i played with the contrast and lighting effects. 6. i desaturated it so it wasn’t as vibrant with the models skin tones [it didnt mesh well] 7. i saved it! that is how i did this piece of art.

As a child one of the most frequent things we did together as a family was to attend church on Sundays, I went to a Catholic School and the church I remember best was St Agnes’ at Port Macquarie… the nuns would come over for morning tea sometimes, and the priests would come for dinner occasionally…they were the days of fun parish picnics and life that wasn’t so hurried..when we took time to socialise, meeting and enjoying one another’s company. Mum was/is a great cook and host…and although this picture isn’t authentic as a portrait of her and myself…it’s representative. It’s also representative of new life and hope for the future, as the mother figure is with child….. and the child herself nurtures the wildlife…perhaps she is taking them to church for a blessing… perhaps the joey has lost his mother and needs nursing til he can fend for himself. The kookaburra is all seeing and all knowing….. the wise overseer of the bush… in this case, he stands in as the owl figure.
