I’ve been driving myself nuts trying to find a song that fits this piece. Turns out the perfect song is one I listen to every day. / Field Of Innocence by Evanescence. Kilchurn Castle on Loch Awe, Scotand

Castle Kilchurn on the banks of Loch Awe, the site of many battles in Scottish history. The McGregors were the dominant clan in the Loch Awe area until being eclipsed by the Campbells who built Castle Kilchurn in 1450. / The Castle was held by the Campbells for 400 years and became a government stronghold in Jacobean times, but with the pacification of the Highland Clans and the dispersal of the McGregors, the Castle outlived its usefulness. / The Castle was abandoned completely at the end of the 18th Century and then had the misfortune to be burnt out after a “lightning strike” Most likely a stray McGregor…

Up here, the wind whispers with sublime majesty as it tussles the native grasses that hug the dunes. For a second the power of the Australian coast floods my mind, caresses my soul and fires my imagination. I love it. I just love it.

Taboche Peak 6367m rises majestically from the floor of the valley of the Lobuche Khola River in the Nepalese Himalayas. To the right is Cholatse with her 6335m peak just in the clouds. At the foot of the valley above the village of Pheriche rises the twin peaks of Kangtega 6685m with Thamserku 6608m to her right. The fresh snow fell deep in the valley the night before. These mountains are some of the world’s most famous and the Sagarmatha National Park is their home.

BEST VIEWED LARGER Awe inpiring hardly describes the sheer sandstone cliffs of Sydney’s North Head, North And South Heads form the natural gateway to Sydney Harbour often described as the best harbour in the world. This shot was taken with 3 bracketed photos captured with a Nikon D300, Nikon 18-200mm lens, this was then processed in Photomatix software to make this HDR image. No Filters were used and no processing in Photoshop. For visitors to Sydney North Head is located near the suburb of Manly famous for it’s beaches, Manly can be reached by many forms of transport but the most enjoyable is via Ferry Service from Sydney’s ferry terminal at Circular Quay. This is “Awe”

This is one of a small series of Lightning captures which was my first real attempt at having a go at this type of photography. Friday the 14th Nov 08 on the front porch at my place,Western Sydney.Although not as artistic as other captures of lightning my aim was to capture a raw natural wonder & i was wrapped when i pushed the the shutter button on my remote cable just at the / right time & saw this on my LCD display CANON 400D / TAMRON 11-19mm LENS / Remote cable attached

It’s absolutely mind-boggling to look at the diversity, the complexity, and the breathtaking beauty of nature. With a phrase borrowed from the great hymn, when I consider all God has made, I should drop to my knees in awe and gratitude before His Majesty. This image began as a shot of an exotic butterfly in an exhibit, and with some work in PhotoShop emerged into my humble rendition of one of the zillions of miracles that come to us from the mind and heart of God.
