When the warm sun hit the ground in the woods near Lage Vuursche/The Netherlands on a beautiful spring morning in early May, you could see the steam rise. Or were the spirits of the morning dancing a welcome dance for the sun that kissed them awake? / Taken near Lage Vuursche in the Netherlands. these little work give me so much peace . I had to find something that calmed me a tad so I create theses …I needed a release from myself and the hurtful work I do… i awake with these thoughts in my mind put on my piano music and day dream …of soiltude of peace …of catching myself before I fall you can’t see it here but i have finished these with a varnish that looks like glass …..a thick resin … 10”x8” on wood panel ….it just might be the smallest work I have done
Model – Meluxine These are some outtake/alternates from the same shoot as Apple Blossom Girl – I actually took LOTS of shots from that set and am having strife picking the final shots to use, and since I treat RB as an alt/outtake spot as well as a preview/never before seen/standard portfolio, I figured what the hell ;) This particular pair were shot on my late Grandfather’s Ensign Selfix 820 on god knows what film, Fuji NPS 160 I thiiiiink… or possibly Portra 400NC. I had no idea what to expect, having never put film through the damn thing before, so the fact they worked and looked delightfully dreamy was very cool. These are scanned from the 120 neg, straight off the camera – no editing aside from putting them next to each other and whacking my watermark on them. Woohoo. Featured on RedBubble Homepage – 7th December 2008 Lost… somewhere in the magical city of Salzburg (Note: This image was originally labelled incorrectly as an alleyway somewhere in Prague, Czech Republic). I have always been fascinated with cobblestone streets and narrow alleyways. And for some peculiar reason, I am always prompted to remember an old Chris Rea song (Windy Town) whenever I think of cobblestones. Oh, the joy and wonder of musical memory triggers :-) Salzburg, Austria, 2006. [Creative Effects: Colour Removal, Sepia filter, Brightness adjustment, Omni Spotlight with Photoshop] Windy Town by Chris Rea Driving home from the highland line / We done some gigs on the Clyde and the Tyne / They flew us in from a Hamburg strip / The taste of Dusseldorf still on our lips / And on the bus there is a friend of mine / We go way back to the scene of the crime / We sit up front and share a cigarette / And try to remember what we tried to forget He said “Do you remember?” / He said “Do you recall?” / I said “Yeah I remember, oh, I remember it all” / Every time that cold wind blows / Every time I hear that sound / Late night trains shunting down by the river / I remember windy town We come so far and we move so fast / Making hay see it all go past / Round the world and round again / Up and down on that gravy train / But every time that cold wind blows / Every time I hear that sound / The east coast cross winds on the cold wet stone / I remember windy town The freezing corners and the empty streets / The burning passion and the cold wet feet / Three tricky miles home every night / Dodging from the shadows underneath those amber lights / No car for kissing and nowhere to go / Except inside each other and I loved you so / I held your face as you shivered in the rain / Girl I’ll always love you and I’ll love you again / Oh everytime, everytime Every time that cold wind blows / Every time I hear that sound / Late night trains shunting down by the river / I remember windy town / Every time that cold wind blows / Every time I hear that sound / The east coast cross winds on the cold wet stone / I remember windy town

Slowly Spring is waking up .. it is getting warmer, the birds are singing their morning songs … Nature is taking a deep breath, getting ready to spoil us once again with beautiful colours and scents…. After the winter months it is time for us to awaken also.. let our spirits roam, open our arms to the gifts Mother Nature has to offer us, embrace them, accept them…. My Website SP The Gift She swims through consciousness, dimly aware of the morning light / as the day filters through the blur of her half opened eyelids / Resting her forearm across her brow / she stares up at the blue ceiling above her bed / until the foggy mist from her dream filled sleep finally starts to clear / Her mind awakens like a well oiled clock / cogs turning slowly at first / then with a little fine micromechanical early morning tuning / her pendulum begins to sway rhythmically in time with the day / Thoughts of things to come and yesterday are again set in motion Appointments filter through / and then there’s the parcel she needs to send / Must wrap it up in brown paper, tied with string / remembering to slip in the handwritten note she promised him / penned in scrolls and Indian ink / Rolling on her side, curling her knees up to her chest / she stares unseeing at the wall / She’ll spray his surprise with her favourite perfume / reminding him of her scent / and smiling, she visualises him opening her carefully prepared gift She see’s him untie the string / even hears the paper crackling as he lifts back the folds / slowly reaching in to finger the fabric / she watches in her mind as he lifts lace from soft, white tissue paper / and his utter surprise that she has fulfilled her promise / Smiling to herself she closes her eyes / snuggling deliciously deeper under the covers / wrapping her arms around her knees / while savouring the misty sweet daydream / Tender thoughts of love, hope and desire all tied up in string TMac

Watercolor, ink, paper “Awake, north wind, and come, south wind! Blow on my garden, that its fragrance may spread abroad. Let my lover come into his garden and taste its choice fruits.” / (Songs 4:16) It is difficult for the Soul to lose the height of comfort reached, even though all her sacrifices are like tiny beads slipping through her fingers in comparison with the divine reward of His love. The good works the Soul does for Him are not what delights God, but her herself when she remains in Him. The Bride answers to her Beloved: “Whatever wind is blowing: dry north, burning my garden, or gentle south breeze, whatever hardships enter my life, I say – Come, my Beloved, the garden belongs to You only. I will follow You wherever You call me. Let my life be like a table generously laid for You and Your friends.”
Featured In The Art Of Pain / VAVOOM – Vibration in Art & Words Inspired by one of the most beautiful songs, Falling Awake by Gary Jules. This represents how society is constantly forming and moulding you to be who they want you to be. And the best feeling is when you fall awake and realise who you have become and just break free. The discovery in 1994 of the Wollemi Pine (Wollemia nobilis), one of the world’s oldest and rarest plants, was described at the time as “the equivalent of finding a small dinosaur still alive on earth.” Now safely propagated and its future assured (this one lives in a pot in a Sydney backyard), the location of that original find, in a remote area of a national park, is still a closely guarded secret.
