Do you feel that you are betraying any one or any site by being here in this group or being at Redbubble? How many artists use multiple sites to get their work out into the public eye? It is good marketing to try to find the right venue for the work that you produce. I am sure most artists would prefer to find that one site where all sales spring forth. If there was such a place we all would be on that site and no other because why waste time and energy. Every art or photography site has their unique characteristics. On every site you have those that live or die by that site they have limited vision or found a comfortable place and dare not venture out into the unknown regions of other sites. Who knows if people will like their work, they are very comfortable with the same often repetitive pat on the back they have received and become complacent. Artists and photographers to get better always must take chances to stretch themselves and their art beyond their comfort zones, to expand beyond where they are today. It is very difficult to grow in a stagnant or sterile environment that is what being on one site to the exclusion of all other venues can become for an artist. So the question is do you feel you are betraying other sites by being here? Have you done any damage to other sites by being here? Do you feel guilty that you are here? When you are here do you think you shouldn’t be here but on another site? How would you feel if another site felt and almost demanded undying loyalty to them at the exclusion of all other sites available to you to promote and show your art?
