2007 AirPower over Hampton Roads, Langley AFB. B-17 flyby, plane slightly banked for a perfect picture opportunity. You can almost make out the oil leaking over the engine cowl and wing (especially on port engine number 2). This is the Memphis Belle replica, the real Memphis Belle is currently undergoing restoration at the Wright Patterson Air Force Museum in Dayton, OH. Last I heard the restoration is supposed to be completed by 2010. My art with 1000+ views
Heading west enroute from Moscow to London, this enduring sunset was shot from the flightdeck of an Airbus A320.
This photo was handed down to me by my dad, he has a great interest in planes so I wanted to see if there were any photos I could play with. The polished aluminium body and clouds just begged HDR so this is what I came up with. Scanned the image and imported it into Lightroom then exported it as 3 different exposures and merged it in Photomatix. Put it back into Lightroom and touched it up a bit. I decided to leave the spots of dirt and stuff for an older ‘feel’.
10-22 wide angle lens … / handy for those crowded situations. Photo Information: / 22nd October 2006 EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM / Focal Length: 10.0mm Aperture: 8.0 / Shutter: 1/800 / ISO: 100 Galleries / /
An old scan of my Dad’s from many years ago at Avalon. HDR’d from one 600dpi scan and then I replaced the sky in Photoshop with what I thought was a more interesting one. Also like it in a Selenium Tone which is one of Lightroom’s presets so I left it as that and did a bit of touching up with the levels etc.

Captured at the airshow in Langley, VA. The F-4 Phantom used to be my all time favorite airplane growing up, it was so cool to see one of the last few flight worthy F-4’s in this heritage flight formation. Trailing the F-4 is an F-22 Raptor and an F-15 Strike Eagle (lower plane).
Biplane ready to take off at the 2008 Airpower Over Hampton Roads airshow. The pilot activated the “smoke pod”, which drowned out the background quite nicely.
The “office” of so many back in the day. Captured at the Airpower Over Hampton Roads airshow in June 2008.
This photo was taken at the Amberley Defence Force Air Show, in Queensland of the Hudson Bomber.

a single airplane in the sky through the clouds… another airplane t-shirt design for kids. =)
This is an older image that I have been meaning to post. It was taken in 2006 during the airshow at Naval Air Station Oceana (Master Jet Base). Just several weeks later the F-14D Tomcat’s performed their last flight, as they were retired and scrapped. Planes shown in this image are from Strike Fighter Squadron VF-31, also known as the Tomcatters. (Based on Nimitz-Class aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt – CVN71).
Noseart of a B-17G called “Liberty Belle” (SN 44-85734). This plane has been restored and travels to various airports to give spectators 30-45min rides. It is quite a sight to see and hear the engines come to live and see this beast take flight. Read more on her history here
Composition of a couple photographs. My grandfather flew me from California to Arkansas when I was just a babe!!! Planes make me think of my grandfather whom I love very much!!! Featured in JPG Cast-offs. /

Another shot from a recent airshow in my local area. I loved how all these people were milling around these lovely old warbirds, just looking…. inspecting….. / This one is a “Trojan”.
