Featured in RB group “UK Visions” Sept 09 Art from the world of lawns and offices. Artists have always used the materials of their time.. they forged iron and steel. Today many people live and work surrounded by office machinery and it seems right to bring these into the artistic process… as some are already doing. Photocopier poem I like to take a drawing and play about with it.. in this case I put a simple pencil sketch it through a low cost copier ! I like the grainy feel the copier gives this. The original is a pencil drawing and quite delicate this feels quite different. For me this feels a bit like a Warhol… because the FAX process roughens and de-personalises the image. I would put the Mona Lisa through a copier just to see what comes out at the other end. I like the idea that I could FAX this to anyone anywhere and they would receive an original FAXED version. So if you talk to me nicely I might be persuaded to FAX you a copy of this work ! The original FAXED work was on that thin fax paper that darkens with age.. and so it will not last very long.. so in effect this image only now exists on my hard drive and on sites like this. So anyone ordering the online version is getting the nearest thing anyone can get to an original. Ok.. I’ll keep taking the pills. ;)

The penis (plural penises, penes) is an external sexual organ of certain biologically male organisms, in both vertebrates and invertebrates. While results vary across studies, the consensus is that the average erect human penis is approximately 12.9–15 cm (5.1–5.9 in) in length with a 95% confidence interval of (10.7 cm, 19.1 cm) or (4.23 in, 7.53 in).11[13] The typical girth or circumference is approximately 12.3 cm (4.84 in) when fully erect. The average penis size is slightly larger than the median size (i.e. most penises are below average in size). A research project, summarizing dozens of published studies conducted by physicians of different nationalities, shows that worldwide, erect-penis size averages vary between 9.6 and 16 cm (3.8 and 6.3 in). It has been suggested that this difference is caused not only by genetics, but also by environmental factors such as culture, diet, chemical/pollution exposure] etc. Endocrine disruption resulting from chemical exposure has been linked to genital deformation in both sexes (among many other problems). The longest officially documented human penis was a find by Doctor Robert L. Dickinson. It was 34.3 cm (13.5 in) long and 15.9 cm (6.26 in) around. An anagram (Greek anagramma ‘letters written anew’, passive participle of ana- ‘again’ + gramma ‘letter’) is a type of word play, the result of rearranging the letters of a word or phrase to produce a new word or phrase, using all the original letters exactly once; e.g., orchestra = carthorse, Eleven plus two = Twelve plus one, A decimal point = I’m a dot in place. Someone who creates anagrams is called an anagrammatist. The original word or phrase is known as the subject of the anagram. Any word or phrase that exactly reproduces the letters in another order is an anagram. Skill in creating an anagram is permutation to produce phrases which, in some way, reflect or comment on the subject. Such an anagram may be a synonym or antonym of its subject, a parody, a criticism, or praise; e.g. George Bush = He bugs Gore.; Madonna Louise Ciccone = Occasional nude income; William Shakespeare = I am a weakish speller, Roger Meddows-Taylor = Great words or melody. My latest ‘throw-up’, on a disused building corner of Cleveland and Chalmers Street Surry Hills. Up until now I’ve been working only on building hoardings: this is a real wall! [This is just the first stage: I do these things in layers (3x coats of paint here) and may never get back to do more before it gets painted over so that’s why I’m posting it now. It’s been up a week so far.] UPDATE: 04.04.09 got back to this site last night and sprayed the stencil work, so updating the image. I enjoy exploring found object as a raw material: here I’m using a hubcap and the bottom of a bread basket to create the repeated stencils / COMPLETE: 04.05.09 shot at with a paint gun loaded with orange, then light green stringers thrown in. I think it’s done

Portraits of a Grizzly Took this photo at the Indy zoo of this gorgeous Grizzly. He is very old, and died about two months after taking this photo. My heart broke as I could see the discontent in his eyes of being in captivity. I was lucky to have had him this day all to myself, and I found it interesting how we made eye contact, and after a few moments of shooting he came over as close as he could get to me, and sat down right at the edge of the mote that devided us. I sat there with him for over an hour, and even though this is a grizzly and could kill me with one strike of those claws, there seemed to have been somewhat of a peace between us. I will never forget him. / I photographed him years ago, and with a very cheap camera. This is not the best quality photograph, but of the most memorable one for me.
