  • “Clouds on the Water, Fire Near the Sky” / Purchase a Mouse Pad of this image I happened onto this gorgeous sunrise over the White River at a time when the water was at its lowest. • MY FAVORITE COUNTRY ROAD / Best viewed large. / / / / “MY FAVORITE COUNTRY ROAD” was featured in the group COUNTRY ROADS/AROUND THE WORLD / / / / “MY FAVORITE COUNTRY ROAD” was featured in the group NATURAL COLOR AND LIGHT / / / This is a recent photo of my favorite country road! It is located in Flatwoods, Kentucky, in Greenup County, which lies in the northeastern part of the bluegrass state. Many of my relatives live in or just outside of Flatwoods, and my Dad built this one. / / The scenery from this road is almost surreal, it is so beautiful. Surrounding this road are country farms, barns and old churches. This road winds around a gorgeous mountain cloaked with a variety of lush trees and evergreens, whose leaves are radiant in the Fall of the year with brilliant shades of yellow, orange, red, brown and green. / / At the top of the mountain is the end of this magnificent road, which leads to a private, gated mansion that overlooks the entire county. It is very quiet and peaceful there, and everything, including time, seems to stand still on this beautiful road. It is a breath-taking view from the very top, and this is truly my favorite country road!.. / / / To read and learn more about this special country road, / go to:COUNTRY ROAD

  • We never thought this day would come, / But it’s finally here at last, What once was our bright future, / Is now are dim-lit past, But we hold onto the memories, / The lessons that we learned, The pathways we have traveled down, / The corners that we turned, And soon we say our sad goodbyes, / That will last us forever, We may see each other again, / Maybe once or maybe never, So make your goodbyes ones to remember, / The kind that will stay in their heads, Those are the goodbyes they will treasure, / The ones that were sad to be said.

  • I was lucky enough to attend a beautiful country wedding – and witness two special people tie the knot. This candle was on a table at the reception – it was a perfect Autumn afternoon and the sun was streaming in behind where the candle was placed – no photoshop here…just love and light~~! / :) /

  • I am sure that deer, especially, really enjoy their morning solitude. Their needs are small, safety, food, water and a quiet spot, in the morning, much like we like morning coffee or tea or whatever our routine. This image has it all. The mist is rising as the sun climbs up out of it’s slumbering state. It is Autumn and so the foliage reflects that. The reflections are calm, for this is a stream that doesn’t flow fast, but takes it’s time getting where it wants to go. The whole tempo here is at a very slow pace, the message is wake up slowly because one never knows what the day will bring. Background image taken at River Bridge off of highway 62 on the way to Union Creek, Oregon. The image was softened in Dreamy photo, I then used layers to make any changes. Using a layer mask, I erased the mist over some of the water in the foreground, so that the reflections would be clearer. I then added the autumn leaves in the right foreground as composite layers and then added the small deer as a composite layer.
