Autumn, / such a lovely Season! / I love how this pic turned…
made from 4 images using blending and layers in PS / Original image landscape, blended the lady and the horse into the image, As strong as you were, tender you go. / I’m watching you breathing for the last time. / A song for your heart, but when it is quiet, / I know what it means and I’ll carry you home. / I’ll carry you home.
I wonder if there’s a Heaven / Do the beautiful winged angels fly / Above the woods and sunlit gardens / Of their Utopia in the sky And sing with the larks in the morning / Their carols of love and of joy / Long years ago I dreamt such things of great beauty / when I was an innocent boy Back then I was nearer to Heaven / Far nearer than I am today / Since I have lost the innocence of childhood / Heaven from me seems much further away I wonder if there is a Heaven / Do birds sing on the blossoming trees / And do the rivers from their homes in the mountains / Sing their way to the Heavenly seas. crouching model by lamanouche.
This time I waited in vain for a horserider to come along on this riders´ path in the forest near Bilthoven, but you cannot have it all, can you? And there was so much autumnal beauty already that I certainly was more than happy with my morning trip on my bike. For a change I used the tripod this time – after all I had some time to spend … Near Bilthoven, 8th November 2008, 9.37 am / Nikon D80, Nikkor 18-200 mm at 200 mm / F 10, 1/5, ISO 100
When your day seems out of balance / And so many things go wrong / When people fight around you / And the clock drags on so long… When most folks act like children / And fill you with remorse / Go out into your pasture / Wrap your arms around your horse. His gentle breath enfolds you / As he watches with those eyes / He may not have a PhD / But he is, oh, so wise! His head rests on your shoulder / You embrace him good and tight; / He puts your world in balance / And makes it seem all right. Your tears will soon stop flowing / Then tension will be eased. / The nonsense has been lifted / You are quiet and at peace. So when you need some balance / From the stresses in your day, / The best therapy you can seek / Is out there eating hay! WJ

I loved this little alley with / such quaint shops…..
There will be times when you will be in / the field without a camera. And, you will see the most glorious sunset / or the most beautiful scene that you have ever witnessed. / Don’t be bitter because you can’t record it. / Sit down, drink it in, and enjoy it for what it is!

When things go wrong as they sometimes will, / When the road you’re trudging seems all uphill, / When funds are low and the debts are high, / And you want to smile, but you have to sigh. / When care is pressing you down a bit. / Rest, if you must, but don’t you quit. / Life is queer with its twists and turns / As every one of us sometimes learns. / And many a failure turns about / When he might have won had he stuck it out: / Don’t give up though the pace seems slow - / You may succeed with another blow. / Success is failure turned inside out - / The silver tint of the clouds of doubt. / And you never can tell how close you are. / It may be near when it seems so far: / So stick to the fight when you’re hardest hit / It’s when things seem worst that you must not quit. ”...Pearl set forth, at a great pace, and, as Hester smiled to perceive, did actually catch the sunshine, and stood laughing in the midst of it, all brightened by its splendor, and scintillating with the vivacity excited by rapid motion. The light lingered about the lonely child, as if glad of such a playmate, until her mother had drawn almost nigh enough to step into the magic circle too” (Nathaniel Hawthorne, The Scarlet Letter, p. 208). This is the Sunken Garden in Bouchart Gardens in Victoria, B.C., Canada. The Sunken Gardens are absolutely gorgeous and I was blessed to be able to view them at the peak of autumn colors with incredibly beautiful evening light! I’m sure it is equally breathtaking in the spring…but, to be honest, I couldn’t imagine it any more beautiful than it was on our visit! This is Hubbards Hills in Louth, Lincolnshire showing all the colours of autumn. / Hubbard’s Hills is a glacial overspill channel formed as the last ice ended about 40,000 years ago. A marginal lake of meltwater trapped between glacial ice sheet and the Lincolnshire Wolds spilled over a chalk ridge and gouged a steep sided valley with a flat bottom. The river Lud, far too small to create such a valley, now flows through it. Please visit me at my website / / PaulThompsonPhotography Canon 5D Mk2 / F16 / ISO 100
