I haven’t learned this guy’s name yet because there are three horses at Ten Oaks from the same “family.” The barn owner owns one of them and a boarder owns the other two. All are spotted and look so much alike but I’m sure I’ll eventually learn to tell them apart. This one especially since he’s a bit of ham and camera hog:-) /

Birch fences are part of my youth where I was living,at that time my mother was in chock seeing sheeps or cows in our vegetables garden and we could see hay bundles sleeping on the field.Of course I knew that if I followed the birch fence I would find the first blueberries for the love of my life,my father…a ritual I did for most of my youth. At first I only had a few bleuberries but what a treat I had looking to my father eating the first handful of those tasty wild berries.I was so proud and happy…. :)) / Taken with a D200 Nikon /
Pastel on Colourfix sanded paper (burgundy) – 70cm x 50cm There is a radio program in Australia called ‘Macca on a Sunday Morning’, which explores all aspects of this country. There is a segment in it called ‘Why I live where I live’, and it got me thinking about where I live. I did this painting as part of a solo exhibition (‘My Easel and Eye’) which was held in 2005 and this was the first painting that was sold. Yesterday morning was a glorious autumn morning, and I went for my early morning walk. This same area of the bush looked exactly like this painting!
