  • Bardi ‘Saltwater’ people at England’s most famous sacred site Stonehenge: Photo: © Julian Andrews. Goolaman is a word used by the Bardi ‘Saltwater’ people meaning frilled lizard. The Bardi people are from the Dampier Peninsula situated around 200 kilometres north-east of Broome, Western Australia. They are coastal people who have looked to the land, open waters, tidal flats and mangrove creeks for thousands of years for food, law and traditions. Even to this day Bardi people continue to practice their culture and to live this way of life. About Posters: RedBubble posters are available in three sizes, with a maximum print area of A2, A1 or A0 Posters are printed with a 5mm white border. They’re printed on durable 180GSM matte stock. These posters are water-proof, which we discovered when James “washed” one in the sink. Although the print survived surprisingly well, we recommend ordering new posters in preference to scrubbing them under a faucet. Each print is available in 5 seasons: Summer Print / Winter Print / Spring Print / Autumn Print Monsoon Print – Black White. /

  • The meaning of mandala comes from the Sanskrit word for both “CIRCLE” and “CENTRE” Even though it may be dominated by other geometric shapes like squares or triangles, a mandala will always remain a concentric (CIRCLE) structure. Mandalas offer balancing visual elements, symbolizing unity and harmony. The meanings of individual mandalas is usually different and unique to each mandala. For some, the goal of the mandala is to serve as a tool on one’s spiritual journey as it symbolizes cosmic and psychic order. For others, the mandala is used as a counter-balancing mechanism of one’s own psyche, (The spirit or soul) and a way for us to focus or meditate our way into becoming a whole person.

  • MY FAVORITE COUNTRY ROAD / Best viewed large. / / / / “MY FAVORITE COUNTRY ROAD” was featured in the group COUNTRY ROADS/AROUND THE WORLD / / / / “MY FAVORITE COUNTRY ROAD” was featured in the group NATURAL COLOR AND LIGHT / / / This is a recent photo of my favorite country road! It is located in Flatwoods, Kentucky, in Greenup County, which lies in the northeastern part of the bluegrass state. Many of my relatives live in or just outside of Flatwoods, and my Dad built this one. / / The scenery from this road is almost surreal, it is so beautiful. Surrounding this road are country farms, barns and old churches. This road winds around a gorgeous mountain cloaked with a variety of lush trees and evergreens, whose leaves are radiant in the Fall of the year with brilliant shades of yellow, orange, red, brown and green. / / At the top of the mountain is the end of this magnificent road, which leads to a private, gated mansion that overlooks the entire county. It is very quiet and peaceful there, and everything, including time, seems to stand still on this beautiful road. It is a breath-taking view from the very top, and this is truly my favorite country road!.. / / / To read and learn more about this special country road, / go to:COUNTRY ROAD
