This feast for the senses was found, at the lake, at Alfred Nicholas Gardens, in the Dandenongs, in Victoria, in autumn this year. This HDR shot is 3 shots merged together with Photomatix Pro using tone mapping and details enhancer. I used a Canon DSLR EOS 350D camera and tripod, too.

As always, this image started out as something completely different but because my computer is from the ark and I constantly get ‘windows has encountered an error’..blah, blah I ended up with this! There were so many more elements I wanted to add but my patience got the better of me and I decided to call it quits before I lost everything again. I think this has got something to do with Autumn but I lost the plot! / Hope you like it regardless…

This is Hubbards Hills in Louth, Lincolnshire showing all the colours of autumn. / Hubbard’s Hills is a glacial overspill channel formed as the last ice ended about 40,000 years ago. A marginal lake of meltwater trapped between glacial ice sheet and the Lincolnshire Wolds spilled over a chalk ridge and gouged a steep sided valley with a flat bottom.
