One of my coffee stops, and there it was…a beautiful 1954 Corvette convertible in imaculate condition. Wow! And the coffee was ok, too.

Classic sports car….ready for the open road. I can feel the wind in my hair and I’m ready for Route 66 myself!
The detail in the reflection of this 1932 Hot Rod was just incredible. Even on the right side, you can see the reflection of the reflection, which makes it appear as if you are looking at the other side of the car. Oh, and that’s me taking the picture. Taken at the Hobart Hot Rod Show, March 22 2008. The best $15 I’ve spent in a long time :o) I’m not much of a rev head but man I love the curves on these old American classics. The paint jobs, the chrome, the leather, the taillights and the fluffy dice hanging from the rear view mirror…Mm Mmmmm This is the first of a series of Hot Rod shots I’ll be uploading over the coming weeks.
For all you ‘59 Caddy lovers. I know you’re out there. I cut and pasted these off a caddy and make a cool digital art tee. Hope you like.
This is a shot of a hood ornament of a 40’s vintage Pontiac automobile. I was attending a show at the Gilmore Car Musuem located near Battle Creek, Michigan. I took this shot with a long lens so that I could compress depth and ensure that the background would be completely out of focus. I wanted the attention to be on the hood ornament itself with the background just being more abstract.

The Chrysler Building is an Art Deco skyscraper in New York City, located on the east side of Manhattan in the Turtle Bay area at the intersection of 42nd Street and Lexington Avenue. The Chrysler Building is also well renowned and recognised for its terraced crown. Composed of seven radiating terraced arches, Van Alen’s design of the crown is a cruciform groin vault constructed into seven concentric members with transitioning set-backs, mounted up one behind each other. The stainless-steel cladding is ribbed and riveted in a radiating pattern with many triangular vaulted windows, transitioning into smaller segments of the seven narrow set-backs of the facade of the terraced crown. The entire crown is clad with silvery “Enduro KA-2” metal, an austenitic stainless steel developed in Germany by Krupp and marketed under the trade name “Nirosta” (a German acronym for nichtrostender Stahl, meaning “rust-proof steel”). source: Wikipedia
