  • This is the Chrome grill from the auto in this series called Pinkie from my show called OldBoyToys a look at the autos of a collector. As you can see the grill back in the 1930 to 1970s were a work of art in its self often the reason a person would by a car was to have this grill as a symbol of who they were! It was quite striking to see something as bright and as bold come at you in the night blazing with full headlights reflecting off of its front bumper!

  • An old 1930’s Mercedes Benz on exhibition at NGV (National Gallery of Victoria) in Melbourne. This car was a V8 had automatic transmission and went from 0 – 100kmph in only 16 seconds! haha how times change! Background desaturated in Photoshop and Gaussian Blur applied to background layer. Featured on the RedBubble homepage on the 1st of May 2009 Click here for my other photos of cars! / /

THANKS SO MUCH FOR YOUR VIEWS FRIENDS! Hugs, Rose xx

  • Hey! When the ol’ truck breaks down …...... why not use it as a garden?? THANKS SO MUCH FOR YOUR VIEWS FRIENDS….....xx

  • If you are not prepared to give up your past, you may as well ride back into it.

  • Captured this antique Ford being serviced in Williams, Arizona. Eddie’s Tires is located right on historic Route 66. / I like seeing old cars still in their pre-restored state, and this one was a beauty! Almost felt you were driving down Rt.66 in it’s hayday, and this would have been a common sight. / This is an HDR image, then applied the dodge & burn technique which I just learnt about and just had to try.

  • Sometime ago I found a few of these classic cars near the side of the road and recently I finally was in the area again, to get a few more shots. This is an HDR image.

  • Spotted this wonderful Vintage Car out in a front paddock on the road out to to Armadale, Perth, Western Australia. (Not sure what type of car – I’m sure someone will help out there). / Camera – Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ30

  • I captured this around six years back, when we were doing a road trip of the South West. Jerome is a great place, full of character. We stumbled upon Joe’s place by accident – he calls it a ghost town, but it is rather more a collection of old automobiles and other machinery, a great place for a photographer – he has some rather quirky items dotted around the yard ! / Photographed in the heat of the afternoon sun, the light was not at its best for this subject, so I Ortoned and Textured it, to create a better feel. / You Tube do some great tutorials on Photoshop editing etc., including some on textures ! / VIEW LARGE for the details ! / I scanned a Fuji Velvia transparency with my Nikon Coolscan V ED, shipped it into Adobe PS CS3, where I cleaned the image up a bit with the spot removal tool. Then I played around with the Orton and textures until I was happy with the result. / It was shot on a Ricoh KR10 Super, mounted on a tripod, with polarising filter, f22. /

  • This wonderful 1935–1937 Morris Eight, vintage car was parked near Fingle Bridge, Devon, today. I couldn’t resist taking some shots of it! I love the reflection of the dropped leaves in the paint work on the door. Nikon D40 18-55mm I chose this image, which I desaturated a bit and added a texture to, to try and keep the feel in time with the car….. Did I make the right choice? / I have also added this below in full colour and B&W which do you think is the better image?
