  • Hammered refers to a kustom that has been chopped (the roof lowered) and this baby sure did! One killer kustom Merc. Processed with LucisArt Thoughts welcomed and check out those nekkid lady spinner hubcaps! :) —-—-—-—-—-- / More of my work can be seen on my website at http://jdebordphoto.com / All artwork is © John De Bord, All Rights Reserved. • I suppose you can say I have always been a sucker for old cars, especially Hotrods. There is something about the design and style of the years gone by, that todays designers in the automotive world have lost…the subtle curves of the body line, the way the trim fits along the body, and the overall composition and style….rolling sculpture. Elegance and style which is no longer created by the manufacturers but now recreated by those who spend many a late night out in the garage building a Kustom, wielding the torch, throwing the lead, and hammering the seams. Art it one of it’s most purest forms. Creativity personified. This is quite an older shot but remains one of my favorites, the color in this and the reflection caught my eye when I first captured it. I am not a huge fan of tri-year Chevy’s, but this ‘56 was just to good to pass up. Hope you all like it as much as I do / —-John / —-—-—-—-—-—-—— See more on my website jdebordphoto.com / All artwork is © John De Bord, All Rights Reserved. • Flames are HOT!

  • Like waiting for judgement say, there they stood, in all their glory….40s era Fords, Oldsmobile’s, Pontiac’s, Chevy’s….awaiting the rodders touch to be sculptured in lead, and reincarnated into a new life as a hotrod. Sadly, as much as I love this place, it is now forever gone. I did many shoots at Classical Gas in Eaton, Colorado….and now it is just a memory….it is forever closed as the owner has recently passed away. I was lucky enough to have been here as often as I could…preserving it forever with my camera. And while it is an older shot, it seems just like yesterday I was standing there taking this….time stands still…...much as it did for the classic 40s Detroit iron….... Thoughts welcomed, print to come. Processed with PS, DCE HDR, and LucisArt. —-—-—-—-— See more on my website jdebordphoto.com

  • My second rendition of this shot…..I will miss this place as it has now closed down…sad….at least I was able to capture it while I could. HDR and LucisArt used in processing John

  • This kinda jumps off the screen at you, so duck. :-) I don’t know about you, but I really like this. Of course I’m prejudice. The car is real, from a car show I went to.The rest is added features from Flaming Pear software, such as Flood, Glare, and Organic Edges.

  • My friend Howie’s ride, 1938 Ford. He has won awards with this car in shows. It’s nice. Hope you like it too!

  • Just my way of proving a point. We are suffering because of the greed from the oil companies.

  • Old folks enjoying an afternoon drive in their 1931 Ford. Image redone in LucisArt.

  • This is the Chrome grill from the auto in this series called Pinkie from my show called OldBoyToys a look at the autos of a collector. As you can see the grill back in the 1930 to 1970s were a work of art in its self often the reason a person would by a car was to have this grill as a symbol of who they were! It was quite striking to see something as bright and as bold come at you in the night blazing with full headlights reflecting off of its front bumper!

  • Two images blended. The car and the landscape. Sepia tone added, as well. Oh, and added the birds too. Hope you like! Add me to your watch list now

  • A single photograph of the pick up blended into a surreal background. Hope you like! Add me to your watch list now / My Bubblesite

  • This is a compilation of the car, sky and birds. I used the flood effect for the wet floor, and treated the image with Mr. Contrast to ge the dreamy effect. Finally, I used lighting effects to enhance the shadowing. Hope you like! Add me to your watch list now / My Bubblesite
