This was taken along the Princess Hwy,traveling to Bairnsdale, Victoria. It’s so sad to see the effects of the drought first hand – the paddocks lined with dead trees and in the fog were a testimony to our harsh weather

On a frosty june morning I found myself to the top of a local range looking at one of the most brilliant sunrise’s I have ever seen. The warm glow of the sun across the clouds and the shifting light made me forget about the the freezing temperatures I was working in.

Bluebell was my first ‘holiday piece’ this year! She’s wearing a headband similar to the one I picked up when I arrived in Brisbane and has the sweetest little expression. I think she’s just darling with those gigantic fluttery eyelashes and wild blue hair. ..................♥ the fine print ♥…............... Subject: Grevillea “Orange Marmalade” / Location: Roma Street Parklands, Brisbane. Formerly titled “Orange”. This is probably the most popular photograph I have taken to date, shot in late April 2005. Grevilleas are hybrid native plants which come in a large variety of shapes and sizes, from ground covers to large trees. The flowers come in a range of colors including light pinks and whites, orange, red, green and yellow and are one of my favourite subjects.
