List was a lovely white blossom. The setting sun playing through the leaves gave it this beautiful green. No color touch up by me, all mother nature.

The ‘Flying Lady’ mascot of a 1935 851 Auburn Boattail Speedster. Founded in 1902, the Auburn Automobile Co began making single-cylinder runabouts. / E. L. Cord gained control of the company in 1924, adding Duesenberg in 1926 and Cord in 1929. There were eventually three different Speedster body styles made before production ended in 1936 when Auburn became a victim of the Great Depression. The Boattail Speedster was designed by Gordon M. Buehrig to rival the Duesenberg. Produced in 1932, only 84 of this model were made, and approximately 48 still exist. Featured in ‘Black & White Photography Group’‘ Nikon D80. Nikkor 18-135mm

This new series is about beauty… about women and what their beauty says about them…their stories….more than anything else hair is a woman’s crowning glory and says a lot about her…we women many times hide behind our hair…it is an emblem of our strength….we spend eons of time and money on our hair, we mourn it’s loss when we are ill, and rejoice on our good hair days… / Each painting has a story attached…Jane’s hair, though one might think so, is not indicative of a messy person, but an expression of who she is…..clever, thoughtful, sensitive…she’s complicated….she is an adored woman, revered almost, which is almost too much for her…an icon in her world, here she is caught at a moment of vulnerability, eyes turned to the painter…almost at a disadvantage (in her mind), as this is not the face generally seen by the public…though her hair is always seen massed as it is, or falling around her face… The keen stars were twinkling, / And the fair moon was rising among them, / Dear Jane. / The guitar was tinkling, / But the notes were not sweet till you sung them / Again. As the moon’s soft splendour / O’er the faint cold starlight of Heaven / Is thrown, / So your voice most tender / To the strings without soul had then given / Its own. The stars will awaken, / Though the moon sleep a full hour later / To-night; / No leaf will be shaken / Whilst the dews of your melody scatter / Delight. Though the sound overpowers, / Sing again, with your dear voice revealing / A tone / Of some world far from ours, / Where music and moonlight and feeling / Are one...Percy Bysshe Shelley The entire Portrait Collection can be viewed by clickingHERE / Delia

Her story so far ...”Cat”, short for Catherine, is a self made woman, head of a 300 million dollar fashion empire….she lives in New York with her 12 year old son Jacob…her life has had it’s ups and downs like everyone else, but now she is at the top of her game….successful, she can hold her own against any of the top designers in the world..she is working on her bio right now…it should make very interesting reading. I painted a bit of myself in “Lilah”....she is the closest I have come to a self portrait…her mouth is like mine when I’m not smiling, but my eyes are less slanted…I used to have my hair like that…in fact it’s like that in my avatar, but now it’s really short…masses of hair was just too much work… / Lilah is a dancer that has just been promoted to principal dancer from the corps de ballet..she lives with two other dancers near the studio, and plans to get her own place as soon as she can…next year the company will be touring Europe and Lilah has been given several important roles…it’s a liitle scary, but she can handle it...
