Just sit on a bench in any city of the world and you can observe the life of the city. It takes / time and patience to wait and capture the essence of the life from the person carting bricks to the attractive women with attitude attracting glances from men of all ages. / Life of the city pans out in front of you and the more you look the more you see. To be an / observer/photographer during these candid moments makes you think that you are passive but in fact you are active whether you like it or not. This is why some photographers I believe take absolutely amazing photographs. The photographer cannot take a photograph without changing the environment they are photographing. / Next time you take a photograph think about this and how you can create something truly amazing. Something unique and profound.

Since joining Redbubble i have seen so much great talent here , we as a human race do not i feel honour that enough in our selves and also in others too . I just want to say that talent does not come only from our selves but that inevitable spirit / soul that dwells within us all and gives us the enthusiasm and encouragement to inspire us to Great Heights withing the physical restraints we live in . We can achieve great heights within our own creative world if we let go of our own selves and let that spirit take over in many creative ways , i feel creative blocks that we all get are due to our not being aware of something other worldly working through us . I feel it is all in our attitude , if we create some piece of art / writing and say that “I ” did this and “I” did that we fail to honour that greater part of our selves that created that piece of art/writing. To honour all our talents and specialities we must always recognise something greater within us who knows no limits . Something that I notice keeps cropping up time and time again is the issue of attitude. Of late numerous people have pointed out that I have an overly optimistic attitude. Now the way that I see it is attitude is everything. I was discussing the fact that I was on a ship that almost sank in Antarctica, the Mombassa bombing and left behind in the Panama canal. With the latter I had to pay someone to drive a speed boat full speed to catch up and I then had to jump from the speed boat to the ship. This is one of those things I do not suggest that anyone tries at home. Especially when you are on open sea with a swell. So after all this I thought I would return to England for a quiet life. In that time I was caught in a swarm of 20,000 bees whilst riding a mountain bike. Surprisingly I was not stung. It could have been fatal. So with such random events, some of which you have read about in my journals, well I was surprised when someone said I was unlucky. My response was actually no you are wrong. I am lucky. I have survived them all and have come out with a pretty fabulous tale. So what I am saying is that I could possibly wonder why things happen to me. For example I was cycling to a temp job and found a dead whale washed up on the beach. I had to get the council to remove it and was late for work. For that I got a warning. What was I supposed to do. Then there was the time a train was delayed for three hours because there was a swan on the track. The rail had to get a specially trained swan catcher to catch the said swan before trains could move again. Lucky? Unlucky? I say lucky I didn’t get to work until later. So there we are attitude in my opinion is everything. Of course there are times when I think why me? Then when I look back most of the times they were valuable experiences. So in summary you always have a choice how to look and how to react. You make that choice and if it was me I would probably laugh and get on with it. If it was really bad like when I had to ship a body home because a person died of a heart attack in Cuzco near macchu picchu. Since I was connected to the cruise ship I just dealt with it. What could I do? Still I got on with it and moved on. I hope that whoever reads this can find some inspiration in my thoughts… I look forward to hearing any comments whether you agree or disagree. My beautiful 7 year old Beagle was sent to the Rainbow Bridge on Oct. 4, 2008. My parents had to put down Rosie on Saturday morning, she started having back problems, and the vet gave her medication to help her ease the pain, and it worked for a while, then, for some reason, my parents said she came back inside hobbling, basically dragging herself behind the tv set, and just yelping and whimpering, and panting, trying to figure out what happened with her back legs, and so my parents took her to the vet, and found out that she was paralyzed from her middle of her back to her back legs. It would have cost us thousands of $ to have surgery on her, which we cannot afford and there was no other guarantees, no other options, so.. we had to put her to sleep, to ease her pain and now she is in a better place.. I just regret that I could not be home for her, to say goodbye, and that is enough to kill me right now. In dedication, I would like to share my “cards/prints” I have used of her. Rest easy pretty girl, you can run again, and I’ll see you again someday. Thanks for being a great dog and you’ll be deeply missed.

One that has caught my attention was with making an entry in the journals section about the works featured at RedBubble groups, and posting “thank you” entries in the group writings, respectively. I guess this is partially the point of journals, so I will follow the trends, this time without leaving marks at group pages, cluttering only my own journal entries. :) / Anyway, I would really like to know what you think about it ? / Is it only about promoting or we should try sharing more, helping people to discover some new techniques becoming more knowledgeable in what their interests are. How i see it, there are 2 ways of looking at things. Either they suck, or they’re good. And it’s a choice you make, because things don’t MAKE you unhappy, you CHOOSE to feel that way. Either you see things as a cup-half-full or a cup-half-empty. It’s not about your nature either. You can teach yourself how to view everything with a positive spin, even if you’ve been a pessimist all your life. You can teach yourself to tell yourself that it isn’t as bad as it could be, it could always be worse, and to take whatever comes as an opportunity to learn, grow, become stronger, teach someone else, etc… Let’s face it, life is a gift. You were lucky to have gotten this far, and millions haven’t. You can make the most of it, or wallow away in despair and give up. You can whinge and whine and make yourself feel even worse, or you can believe in the future and turn your situation around. The cup is filled to same level, no matter how you perceive it, but i can tell you that if it’s half full, you’ll take great delight in rising to the challenge and turning any weakness into a strength.

It was really lovely. Be yourself, don’t worry what people think about you, be kind and affectionate and always always be positive and know that you can do anything if you really try hard. Last Sunday June 28 we had a black belt grading in Oakville and I received my certificate for my Shodan grading which I took March 1st – 1st degree black belt in Goju Ryu karate – the head of the organization said I did a great job and did it with determination because I wanted it that bad, see you can do anything if you work hard and set your mind to it in a positive way. I’m a very lucky lady – all the best bubble friends, love you all xxx

25 submissions. 10 submissions. 2_ submission maximum for a beloved group?? Say it ain’t so! It’s always my next shot that I wanted in there the _most! Whaaaa! Then I got blocked out of adding more images to Rabbit, rabbit! Damn it, IT’S MY GROUP!!!! That was the last straw but I lost most of my chagrin when I looked for my four submissions in another group I co-host, The Artist Nude. I looked for them for about an hour before I realized I wasn’t going to see them there unless I knew where to look for them. And of course, I could remember the shots and see them any time I wanted – just not in the group with “1665 members, 8682 images, 94 T-Shirt designs, 164 written works, [and] 131 journal entries”. Humbling to say the least. Well, I’m not the bestest photographer in the sea and my nude shots aren’t worthy of highest honours or even featuring. I’m not being humble now; I’m being realistic and honest now. So what’s a guy like me supposed to do when you either run into the group limitations wall or get buried by a landslide of better images on a daily basis? Quit. No really. Quit. Split from the group and rejoin or pull everything from it, if you know all that you submitted. After all, you can always rejoin (well, usually always, as long as it wasn’t invitational and your welcome is worn thinner than a hooker’s bra straps). And the bonus is that you can trickle your stuff back into a group you love and be on the front page for at least 20 or 30 seconds in a group as massive as The Artist Nude. With a limit of just two images per day, if everyone plays fair and the hosts get it all cleared daily, you can only expect 32,000 or so tomorrow. Front page news? By the time you’ve submitted it, you’re on page 14 and you can’t find it with an electron microscope unless it was featured. And if losing everything from a group is too painful, I can always dump one and resubmit it immediately. Unless the mods have changed and hate it this time, you’re back in business for a few more seconds. Woo hoo! I’m not feeling like I’ve been limited or blocked anymore. As soon as I see one of those darn grayed out boxes in my submission options, that group (or all my submissions to it) is dumped and I start over fresh as a baby’s bottom – i.e. not always that “fresh” but some of my work is crap anyway. Suddenly, I have a new account in Red Bubble! I have OPTIONS! I have CHOICES! I have FREEDOM!!!! But I’m still gonna increase that foolish TINY amount of submissions in Rabbit, rabbit! Hehehe! PS Tho most of you assume, I’m saying this for the rest who don’t know me well: I don’t approve my own submissions anywhere. I don’t feature them either. The other host(s) can do that if they want to and I wouldn’t even ask why a piece of mine was rejected. I figure I could take advantage of my positions and that would make it that much harder for the members I cherish to get THEIR good work in. PPS I forgot about those freakin groups that don’t accept journal entries for some damned fool reason. It’s not like they’re wasting space in your MAILBOX! Arrghhh! Darn it! Mad again!!!!! :-D

I’ve never seen a sea creature (or any creature, for that matter) strike such a “human” pose. He is staring me down, tentacles on hips, playing the tough guy.
