  • This was a case of right place at the right time. This picture doesn’t actually do the sunset justice. It had to be seen to be believed, and of course, I was with my cousin and not my Fiance!

  • Peggy’s Cove is one of the most photographed locations in the world located in Nova Scotia, Canada. This tiny inlet boasts some spectacular scenery including huge glacial rocks, a tiny village of 40 inhabitants, and particularly the lighthouse. / The crashing Atlantic Ocean surf on these lovely rocks is fabulous.

  • This is another image from the Peggy’s Cove collection. I’m hoping (probably in vain) that this perspective hasn’t been shot all that often as i don’t like repeating someone else’s work. I don’t recall seeing this small village portrayed this way but that could just be that I missed it. I really love how this shot turned out and I hope you do too!

  • Outhouse at Fisherman’s Cove, NS, Canada

  • Peggy’s Cove Lighthouse, Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada By: / Terri~Lynn Canon EOS Rebel XT

  • This was taken near Blomidon in Nova Scotia, Canada.

  • I realize there are lots and lots of terrific Mother-In-Laws out there; however, this tee is for those that don’t have terrific ones! Or, for ones who have a great sense of humour! :)

  • It was the end of a gorgeous day at White Point Beach Lodge on the South Shore of Nova Scotia, Canada. The sun was shining down on parts of the white wash and making it glow so pretty that I had to capture a bit of it.

  • This boat belongs to a good friend of mine who owns a country cottage in my hometown of West Pennant, Nova Scotia, Canada. The title of this piece is the name of his vessel. My friends mother is very important to him and allowed him to have his dream get away so he named his boat in her honour. When he was a child she used to call his wee wee, you guessed it, Gullingo! LOL

  • This is a macro of the inside of a flower, but please don’t ask me which one because I have no idea what it was. LOL Scott said it looked like candy corn so the name was born. Candy corn for those of you that don’t know is a rocket ship shaped candy that is three different colours; red, yellow, and white I do believe. For those of you that may wonder, I did not manipulate this photo in any way other than to crop a bit off to get this to RB dimensions.

  • Did you ever play that game with a Daisy? You pull off each petal and rotate the words until you are left with one petal, and depending on what verse is the next one to use will determine whether your love, loves you or not!

  • This year marks the 250th anniversary of the Sambro Island Lighthouse. Families, including cousins of mine used to live on the island all year round. There were two homes which are still standing, but barely. I believe the building you are seeing in this shot is where the families kept their supplies and storage. The island is said to be haunted by a man. I was quite disappointed to not have felt or seen something eerie while I was there. There is also a spot which looks to be carved out of the rocks on the island called the “Devil’s Footprints” The story goes that the devil walks up out of the water and walks up the rocks to the island. What the devil would want with a lighthouse I have no idea, but that is what I was told. The rock pattern is very odd though and quite something to see. The lighthouse is now run by solar panels and no human hands are needed. Even the fog horn is run by a machine that detects fog. Even though I did not see or feel a ghost, the island has a very lonely feel to it, an abandoned and sad spot. I couldn’t imagine being there alone….no, I just could not!

  • This was one of the most spectacular sunsets I have witnessed in a long time and Scott and I were lucky enough to be at Peggy’s Cove in Nova Scotia when it occurred. At first I was hoping these two love birds would get out of my shot but then I realized they added to it… I hope you enjoy it!

  • Sunrise on St. Ann’s Bay Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia Canada. Same morning as / How fast the light changes!

  • Came up with this T-shirt idea the other day of a a big ribbon with a tag saying From God To Women, and thought it would be a cute shirt for all the guys that think they are. I hope you do too. / /

  • October 5, 2005, the slope of North Mountain on the Cabot Trail, Cape Breton Highlands National Park, Nova Scotia, Canada. The highlands of Cape Breton Island provide unbelievably bright colours at the peak of the fall season. Winds off the North Atlantic, with onshore fog in the far distance, combined with bright sunshine, make the slopes turn into carpets of living colour. As an artist friend of mine said,” if I did a painting exactly like this, people would say I overdid the colours”. Tours come from all over North America specifically to do the Fall Colours Tour of the Cabot Trail. / Sony DSCF828 camera.

  • The Halifax, Nova Scotia, Tall Ship Festival July 2009 was a spectacular event to attend. We had mixed weather, but ended up with two beautiful days for taking photos of the Tall Ships in Halifax Harbour. The four-masted bark, built in 1926 as the “Padua”, is the last vessel of its kind. Built as a cargo-carrying sailing ship, she was one of the Flying P-Liners, the sailing ships of the German F. Laeisz shipping company from Hamburg. The last Windjammer is still active today, although it has undergone a change in profession and turned training ship. Today the “Kruzenshtern” is the world’s second largest sailing ship – second only to another Russian ship, “Sedov” – and, without a doubt, the most famous ship in the contemporary Russian sailing fleet. • Figurehead of the HMS Bounty Tall Ship at the Halifax, Nova Scotia Tall Ship Festival, July 2009. The fog was incredibly thick when we first viewed the ships, followed by heavy rain off and on. The fog provides a bit of a mystic atmosphere. © 2009 Anne Hale. /
