  • “Sir, please may we go bare foot?” We loved to go without shoes at boarding school, whenever possible and even as a youngster, the double meaning appealed to me, and so years later I decided to make the funny picture in my head, a little more real :)

  • Because of copyrights it is not possible to show an image with the use / deformation of the olympic rings in order to expose ideas about the Chinese politics. This limit however has helped to come up with this idea. The shirt could be usefull as a sport outfit in prisons as well… Other publicity / campaigns / contributions about the Beijing Olympics you can find here collected by a Dutchman in the advertisement world and here collected by Redbubble member Robinson. In my zazzle shop you can find the same design showed on different models, colours and the backside printed with logo and instruction. Plus they print larger and their quality of printing is very good! And some others…

  • All the protests around travelling the world with the olympic flame prove how serious concerned people are about censorship, politics and human rights as being practiced in China. Like in history France did to the USA i was thinking about the Statue of Liberty as a gift by athlets to the Tibetan people, taking both their opportunity to speak loud with all the media attention at this moment. I understand it is difficult to pronounce the word freedom! In my zazzle shop you can find the same design showed on different models, colours and the backside printed with logo and instruction. • No pain no gain! *Important note for potential buyers: be aware that this is a flat image and does not take into account the natural curvature of the material when placed on us humans – the sides of the design will sit further toward the sides when it’s actually being worn. Copyright 2009.

  • Pop Art is a visual art movement that emerged in the mid 1950s in Britain and in parallel in the late 1950s in the United States. Pop Art challenged tradition by asserting that an artist’s use of the mass produced visual commodities of popular culture is contiguous with the perspective of Fine Art since Pop removes the material from its context and isolates the object, or combines it with other objects, for contemplation. The concept of Pop Art refers not as much to the art itself as to the attitudes that led to it.

  • I could never figure out why we call their football soccer, and our football football. We actually don’t use our feet all that much except to punt or kick. GO RAMS! *This was inspired by Bluebaby’s 9 iron design.

  • Just because you’re dead, doesn’t mean you can’t play football! Just remember that the “End Zone” is now referred to as the “Dead Zone”. I think they are mostly scheduled to play night games too.
