While camping at Lake Tinaroo on the Atherton Tablelands in QueensIand, Australia I would roll over early in the morning and look out my tent (almost) every day to check out what the sky was doing.. I’m pretty sure this is the oldest house in Atherton, Far North Queensland. Incredibly, t’s still lived in – although every year more of it falls apart and it’s only a matter of time before it becomes completely derelict just like the old shed that is now some kind of lean-to for a mower!! Notice the side verandah? Like so many of these queenslander homes it was added on and made into a ‘sleep-out’ or a spare room at some stage. Doesn’t this look great all framed up?!
