This was taken in a dark room, with just enough daylight to highlight the feet. I opened the curtains a little just to allow the natural daylight in. This Little girl and her mother came to me while i was ministering in Kujama, Nigeria. Her mother was in the latter stages of AIDS. I prayed for her and she was healed. Saint Boniface Cathedral, Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. This church has burned down and been rebuilt numerous times. The facade pictured here is a remnant from one of these occasions. This was taken in Tunga/Zuga village, deep in Kebbe State. Nigeria. All the mothers were out working in the fields and it was 6pm when they returned. Their Children are cared for by the elder woman, who cannot work. This was taken as soon as the carers saw the mums coming up the village path. they are sure hungry babies. Often Breast milk dries up within a few weeks of giving Birth. There is very little food here, and the scarce food they do grow is extremely poor in Nutrition and Vitamins / .I am inspired by the word of God that teaches us to not just pray for the poor, but to give of our substance to help them. Having no conviction that whatever I do in this life will be forgiven in the next means that I tend not to do anything that needs to be forgiven now. The combination of dogmatic belief and the promise of redemption or reward means that too many attrocities are carried out in the name of one god or another. An atheist never has to say your belief is wrong. To an Atheist beliefs are just that…beliefs… acts of faith,not facts of faith.How strange then, that the more people believe in a god the more willing they are to behave like a devil.Can you imagine how an atheist feels when he sees people killing in the name of words, When intelligent people read a two thousand year old fairy story and commit genocide because of it. Water into wine… pumpkin into a carriage…..will somebody please tell me the difference. Can you imagine…....you can now. I think my Karma ran over their Dogma. This is a controversial and thought provoking work. I loved the architecture of this church and I was sitting in front of it, sketching to paint it at a later time. At first I was annoyed at all the elements in front of such a wonderful structure until I realized what I was actually looking at. The tape across the front, the black bar in the upper portion of the photo and last, the arrow pointing away from the church…this photo was almost too good to be true… Strangely enough, I have sold many prints of this photo and, as I’ve been told, not to any Agnostics…Go figure…
