Anyone who has ever ridden or been a pillion a modern sports bike will know that the real fun starts when you hit the corners. But when you’re able to get a lean angle of 45 degrees around a corner, that is when you’re really living! That’s why “Life Begins at 45 Degrees”! Horray for Muscle Bikes! / Real riders don’t need to go and buy the latest fully faired two-wheeled crotch rocket. Who really cares how fast you can go in a straight line?! Unless you can, or even have dreams of, being able to corner like Casey, you’re just another attention seeker. Knee Draggers

This was a case of right place at the right time. This picture doesn’t actually do the sunset justice. It had to be seen to be believed, and of course, I was with my cousin and not my Fiance!

Watercolor painting. 140lb Montval Paper. / This painting was done with a lot of wet on wet to start. I lifted color and actually sanded with a moist but almost dry paper towel. I used a dental tool to remove specks bringing out the impression of ocean spray. I took several photos of these three girls at the beach in Carmel. It was the first time that I really had fun with my telephoto lens. They had no idea that I was there so I was able to capture the fun that they were having being at the beach. My intent was in taking photos of my niece and nephew, also great captures, but this was a fun photo to do as a painting.

Color Me A Rainbow , it was just voted in the Top Ten in the Best of FEATURED Blue Works-INVITE ONLY its very kind of you all to comment so wonderfully on this painting my deepest thanks.. it has been viewed 2, 725 times so far Nov 19, 2009 Your comments highly valued and respected . / / / Here’s the wonderful moving Lyrics to Don Mcleans song ..... / Starry, starry night. / Paint your palette blue and grey, / Look out on a summer’s day, / With eyes that know the darkness in my soul. / Shadows on the hills, / Sketch the trees and the daffodils, / Catch the breeze and the winter chills, / In colors on the snowy linen land. Now I understand what you tried to say to me, / How you suffered for your sanity, / How you tried to set them free. / They would not listen, they did not know how. / Perhaps they’ll listen now. Starry, starry night. / Flaming flowers that brightly blaze, / Swirling clouds in violet haze, / Reflect in Vincent’s eyes of china blue. / Colors changing hue, morning field of amber grain, / Weathered faces lined in pain, / Are soothed beneath the artist’s loving hand. Now I understand what you tried to say to me, / How you suffered for your sanity, / How you tried to set them free. / They would not listen, they did not know how. / Perhaps they’ll listen now. For they could not love you, / But still your love was true. / And when no hope was left in sight / On that starry, starry night, / You took your life, as lovers often do. / But I could have told you, Vincent, / This world was never meant for one / As beautiful as you. Starry, starry night. / Portraits hung in empty halls, / Frameless head on nameless walls, / With eyes that watch the world and can’t forget. / Like the strangers that you’ve met, / The ragged men in the ragged clothes, / The silver thorn of bloody rose, / Lie crushed and broken on the virgin snow. Now I think I know what you tried to say to me, / How you suffered for your sanity, / How you tried to set them free. / They would not listen, they’re not listening still. / Perhaps they never will...
Pastel on Colourfix sanded paper (burgundy). Autumn in Australia is a beautiful season! The intense heat has diminished from the sun and beautiful days are followed by cool nights. Our weather over Easter has been exactly as depicted in this painting. I painted this last year and sold it at an art show soon afterwards. Trawool is an extremely scenic area only a few kilometres from my home.
