The Astoria-Megler Bridge (4.1 miles across) is a continuous truss bridge that spans the mouth of the Columbia River between Astoria, Oregon and Point Ellice near Megler, Washington, in the United States. The span was the last segment of U.S. Route 101 between Olympia, Washington and Los Angeles, California. It is the longest continuous truss bridge in North America. I enjoyed a nice lunch on the patio near the foot of the bridge at a little Bistro. The Iredale Shipwreck in Astoria, Oregon. Not much editing on this one and decided to not apply any textures. All my Oregon pictures were taken with my old camera (a handy little point and shoot) so the quality isn’t the best….but I still think some of them turned out pretty good.

I took this capture this summer when I was in Astoria. I just love the brilliance of the algae and moss along the shoreline. The rocks and piers are just covered in it. It was just spectacular!
