  • In the reflection of Lake McKenzie. A friend and I chose to spend our Easter weekend on the Routeburn Track, one of the “Great Walks” in New Zealand. We had three days on the trail and two nights in a tent, camping in some of the most pristine spots in NZ. This image was taken at dawn, just a short walk away from where we were camping.

  • There is not much to this….(at least not on the surface) just a quick unedited shot of the sunset on 08 08 08 at 7:35 …..and a little wisdom from a wise and loving soul….. / __ / some words of Walter Russell from The Secret of Light, 1947: Look ye therefore, forever upward into the High-Heavens of inspiration, where glory awaits the fearless, all-knowing seekers of Beauty in the purity of the Universal Light. To him whose eyes are in the High-Heavens, the Light will forever come, and he will be forever transformed as he finds it. / / ___ / All The Materials Contained May Not Be Reproduced, Copied, Edited, Published, Transmitted Or Uploaded In Any Way Without My Permission. • I look upon this stage, and my future glares right back. / Shall I become as right before me, / Or non descript amongst the pack? / The stars I wish to reach for burn bright right in my face, / I wonder do I wonder am I yet to take their place? / For shining very brightly one must first commence to light, / And I do this very slowly a new position every night. / For starlight is not what is now it comes from back in time, / It takes more than just one night to make a star to shine. • Well as I was saying in my journal, I haven’t been around for the most part of th winter as I needed a break and mostly cause work kept me pretty busy so I didn’t have much time to shot and when I did have my camera, it was around events that we put on such as this one. This shot was taken during one of our Slopestyle event here in Whistler where the kids try to showcase their talent on various features (jumps, rails). Shot taken with my Canon Xt, 70-200mm lens Cheers

  • When you can’t get to sleep and you’re mind is racing with questions about the future and what is going to happen in life, what better thing to do but edit an image, I must admit this isn’t one of the greatest things I’ve done, just some pictures from a shoot that i hadn’t edited… The motif behind the shoot was the idea of reaching dreams and aspirations, i guess quite similar to how i’m feeling right now actualy. Sort of child using a stack of books to reach the top shelf idea… Also do you know how painful it is falling off of a stack of books every 5 minutes?! This image was shot using a borrowed camera, a borrowed tripod and some free software (gimp) was used to edit up, also used an old lamp for lighting :-) a big slice of Citrus tart with a huge dollop of cream for: Young Enthusiasts

  • I must say that the Clark’s Nutcrackers in Banff National Park had a good taste. This one preferred my sister-in-laws Nikon D300 over my Nikon D80.
