My tribute to a talented photographer, imaginative thinker and caring friend who also happens to make wonderful images with bathtubs. See her full Bathtub Portraiture series here Taken while on holiday in the communal bathroom of ‘Old Hobart Centre’ on Liverpool Street.
Over the rooftops a plane in the sky / Beat of a bass drum cars passing me by / Under a bridge dark then back into light / A river of raincoats and a forest of faces / Still for a moment then red into green / Slow shuffling shoes whisper sight unseen / Row upon row of houses return an empty stare / Let the daydream for a little while longer Ah.. yeah… / Hope Ill never wake / When Im thinking about you / (yeah) hope Ill never wake / Cos now Im thinking about you Two-minute hailstorm then melts into rain / (oh) sing me a rainbow its sunny again / Swallows overhead while the traffic snarls below / Could I (could I) keep dreaming for a little while longer Hope Ill never wake / When Im thinking about you / So that you know – I never want to wake / Cos now Im thinking about you When youre searching your soul / When youre searching for pleasure / How often, pain is all you find / But when youre coasting along and nobodys trying too hard / You can turn around and like where you are (yeah and) I hope I never wake / When Im thinking about you / And I close my eyes (dear) / Now Ill never never wake / Why should I stop thinking about you The Sundays Best viewed LARGE
My cat Emerson, recovering from the bite of a brown snake …
Model – Meluxine These are some outtake/alternates from the same shoot as Apple Blossom Girl – I actually took LOTS of shots from that set and am having strife picking the final shots to use, and since I treat RB as an alt/outtake spot as well as a preview/never before seen/standard portfolio, I figured what the hell ;) This particular pair were shot on my late Grandfather’s Ensign Selfix 820 on god knows what film, Fuji NPS 160 I thiiiiink… or possibly Portra 400NC. I had no idea what to expect, having never put film through the damn thing before, so the fact they worked and looked delightfully dreamy was very cool. These are scanned from the 120 neg, straight off the camera – no editing aside from putting them next to each other and whacking my watermark on them. Woohoo. This is the beginning of a large painting I’m doing / only focussing on the two headed girl / She represents that part of me that is asleep / and the other part awake having to share the body / the body that always wants it’s way Would really like your comments as I progress or / not with it!
The duck in this photo was asleep with one eye open and standing on one leg. The photo was taken at Baldwin Swamp, Bundaberg / /
Unlike my 2 other younger pusses this mature siamese gent, Tolly, just completely ignores me when I crawl around the floor sticking a camera in his face! As with our tabby, Mona, Tolly’s name comes from my favorite books, the Tales of the City series by Armistead Maupin. Tolly is short for Tolliver after the character Michael (Mouse) Tolliver.

This is another shot in my series taken at Oklahoma City Zoo on March 22, 2009. This little sleeping fox was so adorable; he didn’t open his eyes the entire time I watched him, so I had to settle for a snooze pose.
A kitty from the past named Lil’ Dude. He was sooooooo pretty & such a brat! I had a body pillow that I folded in half when I made my bed & he’d climb into it & pass out leaving only his head & a paw sticking out. The first couple of times I didn’t know he was in there & he got a rude awakening! LOL He was always up to something! / He has a new home now & is missed dearly! =) FEATURED in the group Kittens !! / FEATURED in the group Sleeping Creatures
This is Bonnie and Clyde… / Clyde passed away a little while ago…they always slept like this. / It’s so very sad to lose an animal, they are so very precious to me. Now available, new products at my ZAZZLE Gallery : /
