Chinese word “hei” means “double happiness” in english. This symbol is used in all chinese weddings. featured in the group Fabulous Flowers on the 25th of June, 2008.
On a visit to the Jardin Botanique in Montreal I was captivated by the Chinese Garden. Various ponds and streams had huge floating islands of lily pads. But it was not until I rested that I discovered these two lily pads and the reflections, just over the side of the bench I was sitting on. Taken in macro mode. I was walking around Omotesando and Harajuku to kill some time before meeting a friend the other night and found this patch of cosmos flowers. Planted out in the street, behind them were the lights of a shop and a vending machine was providing some light from my side. Just beautiful. Got mesmerised for a good fifteen minutes by these flowers. Nikon D300 / 85mm f/1.4 AF D
