  • Water Based oils on Canvas / Below is a poem that was channelled with this painting. Phoenix Rising – The Call / Round and Round the mulberry bush goes the teddy bear. / One step, two step, tickeldy under there. / A laughing face, a happy face, it’s all such fun to see. / It never happens one by one, it happens two by three. / Don’t sit down, there is no time- just you wait and see. / When Mother Earth holds out her arms and wraps you in her glee. / There is no other thing to feel, there is no other me. Enraptured, encaptured, go gliding through the night. / For when the wind fills up your sails; it is an endless flight. / The sailing bird. The railing bird. The mother to you all. / Don’t be frightened, don’t be shy, its time to heed the call. / Where you come from back you go. It is a dance you see. / But when you’re there, you’ll do a jig; in such treasured company. / The call goes out; it’s ringing loud for those who can yet hear. / For those not coming, don’t you fear. You needn’t shed a tear. / For them; it’s a rebirthing, new start; shinning and brand new. / They’ll feel it’s Christmas. They’ll think it’s great They’re finally on cue. This painting is a signal, a trumpets clarion call. / A shinning beacon in the dark for those who wore the fall. / It is a harbinger of the times, a sign-post of the new. / legions of light are coming now for those who’ve paid their due / It’s a rising from the labyrinth, a releasing from the maze. / For the exit now is clearly marked, it’s time to turn the page. / The Phoenix now has risen from the ashes that yet still glow. / And we are rising there with her; hold on tight, let’s go. / Now don’t be jaded, don’t be slow, you know it’s time to rise. / Come up, come out from where you are, we’ll fly on crystal skies. / For shinning there for all to see, she’s risen to the Lord. / She’s blazed a trail in stepping up; of her own accord. / Rejoice, Rejoice, she’s shed her skin for one and all to see. / Now Mother Earth is to begin a life eternally. / Light oh Light, a chrysalis, shinning and brand new. / A wondrous place a glittering jewel; come up out of the blue.

  • As I ascend from the bottom of the pit…. I am forced to examine….examine all the peices of my past and myself…to grow, I must admit…..Admit my mistakes…Shed my skin, strip myself naked for the world to see. In all the ugliness…..I am forced again and again to choose what to keep and what to discard…As I ascend, I leave behind my shame, my fears, my chains and tears….I force myself to see the beauty beneath the skin that I present to the world…..I choose to believe in myself.

  • I may eventually change the name of this one. All these effects were natural to the capture. I saw the rainbow as I was framing the shot and was quite amazed when it showed up in the image. Hope you like it! I really like the way the web seems to be light itself, following the ascending rainbow. Follow that trail for the title, hehe.

  • Inspired by an old ink print I saw in a book when I was a Child. / The print I remember had this big spooky figure of a man looming in the doorway and had this wicked dark atmosphere to it. / I dont think my version really compared tho, as i only got to get a glimpse at the book (it was in an old op shop and i didnt have any money ever as a child,) so, I had to go by memory, and with not wanting to copy theirs, I came up with this instead :) / Originally drawn in 1992, then redrawn back in 1997. / this is the redone version of 97. / -which is why there is a tea stain and the paper is rumpled :) / ...but i like to think it adds to the overall effect :) / Drawn on normal printing paper, just old and rumpled and torn and sunbleached like crazy :) All work (including images, and writings) copyright dimarie painter / / Click here for work details and credits if any apply… / Click on any category above for that genre… or / Click here to go back to my profile page ... thanx :)
