Drawing doodles help me concentrate on what is said at meetings, especially boring one, it’s definitely a form of meditation! A4 I’ve been doing these for years and years and years.. in fact, just over 17 years ;)
Acrylic on canvas, 12”x24” SOLD $1200 (Study Painting) / This painting is inspired by the heroes of an authentic tragedy which was also dramatized by Chikamatsu in 1722. Hanbei was a greengrocer from Osaka who married Ochiyo, a village beauty. There love was so strong their story became a village legend. Hanbei’s spiteful mother Omine tormented his new wife with scorn and disdain, so much so that the young couple chose to commit suicide, though Ochiyo was with child. / Perhaps they felt their love would live on, in yet another life? Suggested framing through RedBubble / CarrieGlennStudios.Com
Featured on the Homepage, Sept. 28th, 2009 / / (Thank you RedBubble) Acrylic on canvas, 16”x20” / Sold, $1200 / (Study Painting) My work was featured in the Fine Arts Group / (Thanks everyone!) This is the third study painting I have created in a series of ancient Japanese graphic art works. This was inspired from the “Journey along the Passing Waves of the Shallow Rapids”. / Each piece I have done has been intense and rewarding. The brush movements are like a dance between me and the canvas. They are immensely enjoyable and I am currently working on several more. / CarrieGlennStudios.Com
Experimenting with Digital TTV ( – Not a Photoshop filter) – my first time! This is a very anonymous picture. Each of the three visible characters (dog included) are entirely personality-less, due to their backs being turned or heads obscured. And yet, the camera’s angle is facing up to the characters, from a very low angle. Draw conclusions to this as you wish.
