Most women know the answer to this, but I thought I would give a bit of insight to men who still don’t understand! ;D On a journey through the uncharted seas of perimenopause and menopause many women encounter rough sailing. Days maybe filled with the swells and troughs of depression, tears, mood swings, irrational angry outbursts, lethargy, and fatigue. Nights may find them in turmoil with gripping anxiety and panic attacks along with soaking night sweats. Our modern lifestyle with its stressful demands, irregular eating habits, junk food cuisine, frequent use of pharmaceutical drugs, and environmental toxic exposure has shifted the hormonal balance way over to the estrogen excess side. The imbalance between estrogen & progesterone, can cause depression, mood swings, anxiety, irritability, anger, insomnia, fatigue, weight gain, bloating, mental fogginess, low libido. A woman’s ability to feel and express her deep emotional life is one of the greatest gifts of being a woman. A woman’s life does not need to be a journey of perpetual emotional storms. / I love being an artist! To sit down & paint or draw something, gives my soul positive energy. I can’t remember when I first realised that I love it. Probably when I received my first tin watercolour set & brushes. I can still remember the mess I made! All the colours mixed together and as the colour cakes dried in the tin, the disappointment when I realised that I do not know what colours were where.I must have been 5 or 6 years old. I love painting after the Old Masters. Also to paint & draw after photos of artworks, pics of animals & portraits of people. This calender was designed to showcase some of my best work. I truly hope that you’ll enjoy each month’s image.
