  • A oil painting made in Artrage / As you may or not know I love the mountains they are so full of energies and different powers, the winter mountains have a very different look and feel , the nuances in the landscape are much, much, more subtle and the light playing on ice and snow can sometimes play tricks with your mind or eyes, whatever, this can make for many inspirational insights with which to paint down and show the world / lol! This is such a painting, enjoy and welcome back, thanks for looking, Paul :)) Music

  • On Zazzle / On DeviantART / ArtRage 2.5 and graphics tablet / There are many stories of dragons. Wild, blatant fancies and ancient legends of fire and eggs, mist and flame. Of taloned mosters and reptilian mages. Of cunning wyrms and low, crawling beasts. Some tell of mute, ferocious animals, children of earth and flesh. Others proclaim sly creatures of darkness, lurking venom and cruelly slitted eyes. Yet others laud the gracefully scaled spirits of the air, the bright and majestic roaring flames, the shining talons, the clever speeches and shining hoards… This is not one of those. This is the Child of the Sea, who melds with water, and flows with the waves. This is the Daughter of Salt, shining and precious, invisible in the vast seas and yet hidden in every drop. This is the seadragon, who brings the water to life with her turbulence, creating kinspirits from the froth and foam of her passing, and from sleek shining water, and the glimmer of sunlight on a droplet forms her scales… / This is the leaping splash that startles sailors, the dancing krakenmaid flying out with the spray. Old, old and deep as the seas, resting in the dark waters before the first fish formed from her tiny kin, and young, young and new formed with every wave. Everywhere and nowhere, she leaps up, dragging forth wings out of waves, dancing on the swells, whirls and rises and falls, crashing water, shining scales… You will never see her. Be grateful for a quiet life. ArtRage 2.5 and graphics tablet / About 10 hours. Dragonlings slightly easier to see in the WIP but more have been added since. Have you seen them? / Lineart This was one of my longest and I enjoyed it a lot, and learnt a lot, and …well, there’s a part of my head still rushing around in the waves there

  • On DeviantART / On Zazzle / ArtRage 2.5 and graphics tablet Details / Earth and Sky, / Land and Sea, / Day and Night, / Life and Death, / Mortality and Immortality, / Growth and Stillness Unchanging, / Warmth and Coldness… Eternal lovers, chasing each other, untouching enemies dancing together…

  • On DeviantART / On Zazzle / My Zazzle Gallery / ArtRage 2.5 and graphics tablet

  • On Zazzle / On DeviantART / ArtRage 2.5 and graphics tablet Inspired by Peace by Eurythmics… / Stop the world / Turn out the sun / I’m so tired of it turning round Stop the world / Call it a day / Leave it all behind / Leave it that way… Two hours in artrage and I like this

  • On Zazzle / On DeviantART Won a Today’s Best Award on Zazzle (second page, bottom row) Closeup of a picture I’m workng on – I liked this bit on its own, and I wanted to show a closeup on the details anyway. Very Sandman and Neil Gaiman inspired (specifically, the Endless – Mostly Death, but also Dream, Destiny and Desire), but not actually OF them. Some personal stuff in there – some emotional imagery, some pretty details that mean nothing. / The pain of caring and protecting something beautiful that feeds on you and hurts you. The paleness of being only a shadow compared to another’s light and glory. The power of darkness and being unknown, and the restraint possessed and never seen. And I just had a completely different idea for the background… Anyway, the full picture’s up to fours hours at the moment (and hasn’t been touched for awhile…), this bit… was maybe two hours. ArtRage 2.5 and graphics tablet

  • On DeviantART / ArtRage 2.5 and graphics tablet / Original Date: March 2008 Don’t ask me my name / Don’t ask me to look / Don’t ask who I am / Don’t ask me to stop Don’t ask why I rage / Don’t ask me for life / Don’t ask to be saved / Don’t ask to escape Don’t ask me to leave / Don’t ask me to forget / Don’t ask why I bleed / AND DON’T ASK HER NAME Don’t ask who she is / Don’t ask why she hurts / Don’t ask why I drew this / Don’t ask. Just. Don’t. And long after I drew this, I’m finally able to write down some of the description that was in my head as I painted her. / People say she’s abstract. This surprises me _ And something looked down and said “This is wrong”. And they were torn apart. And now she guards the gates of heaven for evermore, until her love is returned to her. And no angel may pass. On lighter screens, you can see the bottom edge of the wings quite starkly / – they’re supposed to nearly blend into the darkness (and my settings are right. I checked) / I discovered new ways to use ArtRage with this – the semi-transparent veils, for example, are thin lines of blur/soft palette knife. She’s waiting for you to die and try to go to heaven. Then she’ll tear your wings off and throw you back down to hell. As mentioned.. she’s a little irrational. /

  • On Zazzle / On DeviantART / T-Shirt on RedBubble Original date: 27th January, 2008 / Edited date (and uploaded here): 24th December, 2008 / (Face and hair repainted completely) A very simple white on black painting in ArtRage 2.5 and graphics tablet By the light of my spider I traverse these midnight realms… Vague thoughts of Ariadne and the Labyrinth from the Beast in its labyrinth in Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman, mixed with memories of Drow and their spider priestesses…

  • On Zazzle / On DeviantART ArtRage 2.5 and graphics tablet

  • On Zazzle / on DeviantART Strongly inspired by Kagerou ... all the flowy red and orange hair, and a bit of Van Gogh’s Starry Night as well, for the background. A fierce and free magechild, who commands the fire of the night and moves through their own imagination at will… / Basically, controls the realm of dreams. / (also, Kagerou is possibly maybe initially believed to be a crazy-dream-journey) ArtRage 2.5 and graphics tablet

  • On Zazzle / On DeviantART The Mystery of balloons is that noone knows who let it go, what it’s seen or where it wanders next. Of course, it could be that the jester fell off but perhaps he let it go, or maybe it hasn’t reached him yet… ArtRage 2.5 and graphics tablet

  • On DeviantART / Featured on the Homepage 15th April 2009! Firebirds. A fierce, brief indulgence, an inspired glory of exhultation. And then freedom and rising renewed to return to other things. And is the phoenix flying over the sunset, or is it setting a trail of fire and destruction…? Passing by in endless travels, rising newborn from a burning nest, or coming in to land and rest…? How many feathers falling…? ArtRage 2.5 and graphics tablet

  • On DeviantART A very belated birthday painting for my sister . Closeup/finished eye and mouth / Gold Tipped With Red / Wallpapers Reference for the face was Natural History by lithiumpicnic / Model: Apnea Three or four hours Painted in my most beloved ArtRage

  • Watching for birds, mice, anything that moves. Other cats who come visit but quietly leave… witha message perhaps? Sometimes watching for their person to come home. My Kiki was 21 years old when she left me. She was a gift from a friend who rescued her from a breeder who wasn’t happy with her Persian/Manx cross and was going to drown the litter. As it turned out, Kiki was a godsend because my husband died the next week. She let others pet her and take care of her, but when I was home, she was my little shadow. All of 6-8 pounds throughout her adult life. Always loving me, always there. I thought I still had my ink wash watercolor of her, but I haven’t found it. I recreated this in Art Rage and Photoshop from the fractal I showed before. The experiment of the multiple programs made for an interesting result. Digital art never stops amazing me with what we can do. My homage to my dear friend who has been gone almost two years, but never forgotten and always appreciated.
