This is obviously not an original idea, and I want to thank both ECGardner and Angelique Brunas for their works along these lines that motivated me to explore my own creativity. I hope they do not mind my using their work as a basis for my inspiration, and I am still working to achieve the balance, beauty, and artistry they have exhibited through their respective nature based collages! I will give folks a while to guess what the various panes are comprised of, they should be pretty easy to figure out, later I will insert the proper descriptions of their contents. As always I can not say often enough how wonderful the Redbubble community is and how happy I am to have found it during it’s infancy so that I may grow along with it into a more complete and accomplished artist! / / / / Portfolio Areas / / Tigers / Wildlife / Macro / Landscape / Birds / Abstracts / Cats~wild and domestic

ORIGINAL SOLD AT RECENT EXHIBITION What beautiful pottery to be seen on our recent trip to Arizona. There were numerous textures and colors to be seen. These seemed especially striking to me and I could not wait to get home and paint them.

War Between The Worlds The noise, the deafening noise. / A battle rages to my north. / Armies of ships fall to my side, / weighing on my heart for those inside. / The metal torn and burned, the sound / of electricity courses through my veins. / Waves of terror surround me, while those / untouched and safe know nothing. / The coming of time, sets the pace for a new era. / Like beasts of armour they wheel fate, / determination to break through the barriers / that separate them from us. / The trumpets wail, and wings fall. / The masters reproach treads near. / The bow breaks and the floodgates of peril, / wash over us, drowning the luminating heat of despair / The finale draws near as I’m blinded by glorious light, stars fall from their designation, / The universe goes silent, the darkness, the nothingness, my mind slows, I fall….. Hi Guys; I’ve been a little busy the past few days getting my first Blurb book ready for publication. Well, it’s finally ready for your review and purchase now! It has some of my most popular digital images, based on your responses, and sales. Now you can have many of the images you like all in one place to view for a lifetime. My book also makes a great gift for someone special, or display it on your coffee table, or desk. Sure, you can publish your own book, just like I did, but it won’t have any of these images in it. These are custom digital images computer generated, software manipulated and digitally rendered and mastered for your enjoyment. Go Here to preview and purchase, and by all means, your comments are appreciated. Enjoy. G.

There is a Chinese proverb that I found a few years ago, and I felt that it exemplified my approach to life in general. Here it is: “If I keep a green boough in my heart, the singing bird will come”. ~ Chinese proverb I take it to mean, at least for me, that even during life’s times of trial and tribulation there will always be another day and another chance for things to turn out right. The secret to life is to not let the little things beat you down, to not get lost in the minutae of daya to day, to not take out one’s frustrations on others, and to never lose sight of the things which make you unique and worthy of love, compassion, hope, and joy! I have only been here at RB a handful of days, but I am so filled with happiness and joy at having finally found a community like this that I feel like I am going to bust. So many of you have left wonderful, encouraging commentson my work already, and I can not even begin to repay you all! If I ever sell anything here that is just a bonus, it is the community, feedback, and creative vision I see on the pages here at RB that are driving my pleasure! This site is bursting with creativity and talented artists of all kinds, a wonderful place to meet many new and exciting artists! Thank you all so much, and I only hope that I can give back to RB some small piece of what it has already given me. Bless all of you, old and new friends alike, see you in the bubble! Please always feel free to ask me for advice on equipment or techniques related to nature photography (especially critters)! Cheers Mundy

Adelaide Exhibition of Photographic Artistry
by Stephen MitchellVisit www.flickrsa.com to attend the Refuge Exhibition Opening Night, a South Austral…
Visit www.flickrsa.com to attend the Refuge Exhibition Opening Night, a South Australian Flickr Group. ABOUT / Refuge, a personal escape, is the photographic work of emerging South Australian artists. Emma Hack, award winning body artist, opens an exciting new exhibition by local photographers. The month long exhibition at the Wheatsheaf Hotel, Thebarton explores the theme of refuge as a personal escape. The photos bring to light our sanctuaries and the places we choose as safe-havens from our hectic lifestyles. In our stressed-out lives of mobile phones, voice mail, e-mail, we all need a place where we can retreat and reflect and truly be ourselves. The participating group of artists met through worldwide photo-sharing site, Flickr, and have turned their online union into a meaningful collaboration. Flickr staff member, George Oates, born and bred in Adelaide, has spent many happy hours at the exhibition’s venue, the Wheatsheaf Hotel. You can meet and have a drink with the photographers at the opening night, which starts at 7pm on Thursday, June 7th. They’ll be happy to discuss their work and interpretation of the theme. OPENING / The exhibition continues until Monday the 2nd of July. LOCATION / Wheatsheaf Hotel, 39 George Street, Thebarton, Adelaide 5031, (08) 8443 4546. DATES / Monday to Friday, 11am – 12am / Saturday, 12pm – 12am / Sunday, 12pm – 9pm For more information: / Upcoming.com
