/ Canvas Print / / Framed Print / Rainbow – Angel of Hope / To remind us there is always hope :) / Rainbow – Angel of Hope is created on brown paper / I use a range of media including pastels, acrylics, charcoal, markers / Rainbow was inspired by my love of Kokeshi Dolls (Japanese wooden dolls) and because rainbows have been on my mind a lot lately, I’ve been incorporating them into lots of my work I hope you like her :)

/ / Ellie Elephant is created from chalk pastels, ink, charcoal and acrylic paint with a crackle effect to make her hide look authentic. I finally got around to enlarging her, as i have her loaded as a small image for a card, but now she’s available as a print also…one of my favourites :) I hope you like her….she’s hiding in the jungle

/ / Little Lilly is another of my elephants – she likes hibiscus – can you tell…? / every day she picks a new colour and goes in search of a brand new hibiscus to wear behind her ear…..aw sweet Lilly ;) Lilly was painted with pastels (mainly chalk pastels) on black pastel paper.

/ I used candlewax, few different sized black marker pens, retractable pencils, charcoal white and black, ink and pastels on a small piece of timber to create “Happiness Always”......and that’s what I wish for everyone…. happiness always it could be for a newborn baby, just cheer someone who’s a little sad, or for a birthday ~ wishing someone happiness always is just a nice thing to do any time of the year :)

This one is about the connection we have with our loved ones, roses always speak volumes about beauty, love, romance…......and wanting to connect…...what happens we we give and receive roses, why do we give and receive them…..it’s really sentimental stuff…..ahh where would we be without all that roses say for us, through us, about us, to others :) I hope you like my “Sweet Rosie”.....these roses are for you :)

/ There’s an Elephant in my Garden digitally colour version also available (click here) / A sepia drawing before I colour this work…. “there’s an elephant in my garden” Inspired by my parents talk of topiary gardens in Tassie and their topiary teapot in the backyard and my little girl with the curl Sarah, who’s all growed up now (but this reminds me of her when she was a littlun)...thanx Nenek and Poppy….luv ya / / There’s an Elephant in my Garden / a drawing on catridge from my Art Diary / digitally coloured I hope that the grownups who look at this painting will remember something special from their childhood, some hopeful feeling, which will help them through today’s difficulties. There are all the colours of the rainbow in this piece, to remind us that there is always hope, no matter how hopeless it seems sometimes. The rainbow is a sign of hope. Children See/Children Do powerful message for grownups I hope that all the children who look at this painting will drift off into a faraway place in their imagination and feel wonderful for a while, especially if things are getting them down…and if life is wonderful, may this little picture add to the wonder and spark the imagination. / A few years ago when my daughter Sarah was very young, she had a little dolly called Hamble whom she treated as her younger sister… Sarah has never forgiven me for cutting the dolls hair and painting her face in a similar tribal style, however I still maintain I would never have painted Hamble and that it was another dolly of much less importance to her!! Here is a part portion of a larger painting I’m currently working on. I liked the how effective her face was cropped in a frame, so I’ve uploaded it as a work to stand on it’s own, eventually I’ll finish the full work and upload it here also :) /

St Agnes of Rome (c. 291 – c.304 virgin–martyr) is often depicted carrying a little lamb. She is the patron saint of chastity, gardeners, girls, engaged couples, rape victims, and virgins.
