At Busby West, during the early to mid seventies. In Winter, I tok the soccer teams away, on Friday afternoons. / In summer, it was my turn to look after the children who stayed at school and did not go away to represent the school in sport. / However, this may have been clubs where the pupils could elect to do something that they were extra keen on – like Art.

Sales of this Design? – 1 sale so far :) / ‘Beach Series’ card by Karin Taylor Still Waters sold very early on, but she is one of my favourite images. I was inspired by Margaret Preston’s work on this occasion, wanting to give the impression of a print somehow. This is a mixed media production in which I used ink, pastel, acrylic and charcoal.

This is a version using bright colors.

\ / / ... hi, this one is quite different from my usual thing, it’s hand drawn initially and afterwards played around with in photoshop a lot to give these interesting effects.. I really like the cork look and the graphic effect achieved.. I imagine it would look so cool in a little boy’s room or a child’s nursery or playroom. It could also work as a contemporary sweethearts card for anniversaries, engagements, weddings and valentines. Could be a cute alternative Christmas Card, or something you’d give a friend who loves and collects elephants. Hope you like it! / ...if you should meet an elephant…
