Yes, before you say it … strange! :-) As of July 2009, this painting has had 5,048 viewings and has been favourited 79 times and had 194 comments, so I guess someone out there likes it. Many thanks for your enthusiasm. To be candid though, I’ll never cease to be amazed at its reception, as I didn’t spend too much time on it and even kept it out of my portfolio for ages as I thought it was sub-standard. HDR image of a Steinway Piano at a friends’ home. She’s quite an accomplished artist herself, she painted the images behind the piano in Tuscany Italy. I’m looking for a good title for this image, this piano hasn’t been played in years. If you can think of a title that jumps out at you, I’d appreciate you posting it for me. Thanks. Inspiration sometimes comes when you least expect it. Paul Jackson’s “Fascination” watercolor inspiration occurred when the artist was unpacking boxes of drinking glasses on his counter. The result; an intense rainbow of colored glass in a one-of-a-kind painting. “Fascination” was completed in 2007 and is a huge 60” X 40”.

Coloured Pencil and Ink on 280 gsm Glass Ivory Paper - / (40cm x 60cm) Worked on this one for over a week, through the wee small hours of the mornings. All my art is cathartic, it’s how I balance my life, creating is my reason to go on. When I’m up I create, when I’m down I create, creativity is my balance. I did this as one of my first experiments into coloured pencil art, and found the whole ‘colouring in’ process so very relaxing and calming. I couldn’t help but feel happyness and joy while doing this. I spent every moment I could as a child, laying on my tummy, drawing, colouring.
