  Painters… painters wait anxiously for their pigments to dry, whether for the stability to craft upon the canvass another layer of oil, or to allow it to be handled without fear of the errant thumb or clumsy admirer. The sculptor… often the drying is more bane than benefice, but still, it must dry before it can be permanent. The druidic soul… always smears of dirt upon the hands and clothing. Yet, when the soil is saturated and the mulch beds mud, there is no righteousness or beauty in placing the living seed or sapling to its death. All three here above, I speak of waters – the stuff of life. All three here above I think of how water also has its ungraspable hand in the second thought, yet primary life of art. The art that keeps us alive. We have all come to terms with the water of the earth, but I would seek to find one of you who has found peace, true peace, with the waters of the spirit. How they ebb, flow, overwhelm and then go absent. I am finding my reserves dangerously low these last days, and the sudden drought has already opened deep cracks along my surface – deep cracks which are inching closer to my core. This is not depression, or writer’s block. Outside circumstance or loss of my peripheral. It is simply that unexplainable, when the heart pumps with luminescence, the eyes remain firefly beacons, the mind is overflowing with… what? Perhaps sand, but the sand that is the makings of cathedral stained glass. The driving is still top down in the sun of that youthful period between insecurity and hesitant acceptance. Smiles. Wishes… ...And a pair of hands that are so brittle from lack of that whetting, wetting, and the wedding of want and ability. My cornucopia is no longer overflowing with battle plans against this hungry earth. My view of what is beauty shines, but starkly, mundanely, human of glow. Even my… well, my applications… they have pulled a trick of language and defaulted. It will pass. It always has before. Sometimes a rain comes in misty sideways gusts, and the recovery requires months, years… sometimes there is a deluge, a monsoon, a drowning of the earth and its people as I knew them within it, just in a matter of days. I am glad though, for a moment here, because I want all of you (and with my drive gone, somehow I believe there is no reason all of you shouldn’t… or will not) to tell the stories of your own droughts, the return of the rain, and the color of the dove which brought back that olive branch to your will. Perhaps you do not see it as a lack of water… I do. I want very much to know what all of you, each of you see it as. Writer, graphic designer, photographer alike, I know you have this strength to write a gift of merit for the rest of us – give us all your disease, your symptoms, and your cure. (I have this faith that you won’t let me down… I am not expecting a mere 5-10 replies out of the 500,000+ of you, and for that, perhaps that alone, the 250,000 of you who are artists are going to give this to your fellow artists… or if for no one else… one 25 year old desert who needs to see the waterfalls again. I know you will because, unlike when I am a 48-hour machine, asking earnestly and never believing my own sincerity as to the dedication of the passionate – bards, bristle handed painters, viewfinders, vagabonds and gypsies… all you beautiful humans… today, I can only see what my mind processes). So thank you for the gifts in advance. I am certain each one of you will find a muse’s gift under the pillow as well. If only you believe we all care enough to grant a wish to the thirsty.

  Oh. My. Gawd. It’s a monday evening. I drove home from Uni, threw my bag somewhere near my study desk, and collapsed onto bed. But something made me get up from that ‘comfort place’ of mine and so I hopped onto RB. And guess what I saw… This was the copy which was sent to my bubblemail: Keegan The Sunday Times is wanting to do an article on RedBubble and is wanting to use your image “Taking Love to New Heights” to illustrate it. Are you happy for you image to be used in this way. You would receive full acknowledgement of course. Kind regards Martin I am gobsmacked. Throw me out the window or not…I don’t know whether this is a good or bad thing. So The Sunday TImes wants to feature RB artists…why choose my work over so many other great pieces of art which I see on a daily basis? To be honest, I’ve never received such an honour before for my photographs. But one thing’s for sure though, it certainly made Keegan’s day to know that my art is reaching many people out there whom I don’t even know. So for that…I would just like to say thank you to all my viewers, and of course, to Red Bubble. For everything.

  Hello all, As you may have noticed, my comments are coming in slowly… I’m just in a panic because there are a lot of things which I have to get ready for before school. But at the same time I still want to do art. I was so happy to find this community and do art again; I haven’t enjoyed art this much since high school. In my university program there are no summer vacations; school and internships rotate constantly. In school I’m always too busy to do any of my own art, and during internships, if I’m working in another city I spend the time sight seeing. I worked in Toronto this time because I needed to save money in order to afford my upcoming exchange in Rome starting in September. During this time I decided to do more art again, and had more time for it because this internship is 8 months whereas my previous ones were only 4 months; then I found this lovely community. Now time is flying by and I hope to complete more pieces before I head off, though consequently that means I have less time to look and comment on new works, but I hope everyone understands… this is my only chance to enjoy doing art this much. I will still comment on your work, but just not as quickly and frequently. I may instead decide to visit your profiles and look through your portfolio rather than looking at what’s new. So my plan is that I’ll try to comment in the morning when I arrive at work, and after work, I’ll do what I need to do, and also do my art. I expect most of the new things will be miniature origami; it seems to be the most popular among my work; though I apologize to those who maybe tired of it :P Thank you everyone for being such wonderful people. I just know there will be days in school where I’ll need to get away from all the stress, and talk to people who I don’t see every single day. I hope you’ll all still be there for me then~ My love to you all…

  I am working on a series for an upcoming show so I thought I would share my process of works in progress…...... / This is a pencil drawing and I am not sure how I am going to finish it yet….. / It is called The Great Escape / / This one is in the process of being colored with colored pencils and will have a colored, painted background….. / / This one is called Patience and is still just a sketch but will be colored and inked as well….... / And this painting I am working on is for a charity auction to benefit Art in Schools in our area. Several local artists get picked every year to do a painting in their style on a chair, this year ismy turn! The chairs are Auctioned off after being on display in all the local galleries for the month of May. My Chair is called The Butterfly Warrior. /

  Well, things are speeding up down here in the south west, as I prepare to open my very first studio. / I am so very excited and a little nervous about this new commitment, and at last having to “come out” from behind my screen! lol / It seems about time I cease to be the recluse on the hillside farm and show my face in town! / I have taken on a studio space in at the historic courthouse complex of ArtGeo in Busselton, sharing the old stables in the courtyard (renovated, thank goodness, not that I mind sharing with horses either, but it is just not conducive to presenting artwork)..... with two other women – one creating jewellery and the other an artist in oils and acrylics. Hopefully being so diverse, we will all compliment each other. I have big plans, but little steps for now. However the first thing will be the fridge and the coffee machine (in this case, a high tech number called the kettle)....so that when any of you get to Busselton, you will call in to visit and I can offer you a cuppa or (ssshhhhh don’t tell anyone) a bottle of wine….or should I say, a glass! I really hope this space will be one that people can drop in to for a chat and some friendship… I am busy moving things in, decorating to set up my “space” and working out what I might be offering from that space…..as we are there as “artists in residence”. I have ordered a large stack of RB cards so hopefully these will be a good thing to offer, as well as a constantly running digital screen displaying my work. My hopes are to win commissions for individual artwork, as opposed to just selling prints. / And all in time for summer… / Down here in Busso, the flies have arrived, the grasshoppers are just up the road (saw them this morning on my early walk, the little bludgers…..all hopping in this general direction and only stopping to eat everything green in sight and breed some more… grrrr) and the tourists are not far behind (though hopefully not as rampant in the aforementioned behaviours) Busy as I am, I still need to say thank you to everyone at Redbubble….I have become totally addicted here and it is because I know I can always find inspiration, laughter, the most infinite range of imagery to feast my eyes upon (not to mention get to experience other parts of this world and its inhabitants), and most importantly of all….camaraderie….friendship. / It is the friendship that has made this site so special, and the first place I think to visit when I get up in the morning….er…well, maybe not the first. (;-) ..but you get the drift….you guys are the ones I want to share my morning coffee with! / So thank you, and my grandest appreciation to you all for your character, style and amazing creativity, and your unique eyes that view a world so different to mine, and yet bring it to share with me and make it mine. I wish you all that is good for this holiday season. (no flies, grasshoppers, and only tourists with big wallets who love your work….lol) / I wish you all sales and success and many many smiles / I also would like to thank those who have purchased work from me, including the wonderful person who just bought a t-shirt from my range for her hubby for christmas…...   I believe the journey of the artist … / A RedBubble Journal Entry by C.C. Arshagra I believe the journey of the artist, or the journey of life and soul’s becoming is as honest as each moment admits the whole truth of all you do and do not know with bliss. It is not the pain of failures seen in self or others. It is every moment of ” ... aaah” (Not, oh-me oh-my). So to here accept the gift is now I see who I was. And now I see who I may be. These fallings (And not pain or failures—so to speak) are lessons. Soul lessons that will mold the constant choices you are and will be. And this may be all that is true. True through all you do, think, feel, say and create. I honestly feel this to be each living beings living karma. It is the listening you give to life is within you are receiving it. And it is within the creating of you are now life’s giving in return. And this true are you to all life from this instant to every next one. I believe this is to understand and live here. These falling moments are as important as success, if not more so. I believe they happen more and not less as time goes onward toward becoming the soul understanding of self. To become you are peace of mind here. Now residing presently within the core of your intelligent emotional soul being. I believe those who live to soul control others, keep and own greed, and lie to wield all painful kingdoms of sorrow are children. And all they destroy in their wake will be their becoming death’s wait for they truly do not know what they’re not. The frequency of these fallings may increase and not decrease in this same change of time to time. This may continue so until the frequency is constant. Until your soul and art form of living is constantly here and true throughout your time, And through all the art you lived to create when this life of being form ends. I believe the journey of the artist, or the journey of life and soul’s becoming is honesty, patience, humility, and all that it means to parent life, feel joy, and laugh no matter how silently you do.   hey everyone / i just travelled 65 kms home just to have a proper shower, and i tell ya it was / %#$ awesum and i shampooed my hair and shaved, u see why im a telling u / this is because at camp gallery 26 i haven’t got a shower just a hose and local pool / or the harbour, 70 is taken up with the hose, so i decided 2nite at 11.45 pm, i’m / not using the hose 2nite im gunna live it up, and well didnt i!!! well good nite im now going back 2 g26 to go to bed(on the floor,which i dont mind), clean shaved and / smellin fine (i hope) / oh yes G26 peoples i ve secured a huge space a northbridge and another smaller / one at milsons pt, plus the 7 day spas with a poss 4 more, start producin i reckon / just in case. im xcited, oh yep 2morro talks wit AT&T re hotel chain mini shows, / im still in brain lock with myself about which way im gunna structure it, but ive got / 3 options which i worry about if and wen i secure it, so there’s an G26 update 4 u’s. / now to drive back! nitey nite!
